important history:: Anoi is an old Eminent with an expectedly complicated past. She spent hundreds of years at Hespa's side. She was deeply involved in comprehending the Spirit Realm. Understanding the world amazed her, but her sense of wonder slowly changed. She heard others who wondered why Hespa was so withdrawn and absent from the world she created. To her, the guesses about Hespa were all unfair but Anoi didn’t want to let loyalty and kinship blind her. Hespa encouraged Anoi to follow her curiosity to Earth.
Even before the Eminence were trapped on Earth, Anoi became one of the few eldest Eminent to start spending all of her time in the physical world. After being shut out of the Spirit Realm, Anoi was one of those who lashed out at humans. Her new name as ‘The Ghost Whip’ spread among humans. Voluntarily living on earth for all those years hadn’t prepared her. It couldn’t have. What angered Anoi was what she felt to be rejection from Hespa. Her distress blinded her for many years until she withdrew from almost all contact with other Eminence.
abilities:: Her abilities lie in manipulation. As others might pull from a specific element or source, Anoi pulls from her own power and the spirit realm. Unintentionally, she can be a drain on those around her and eventually on herself. Intentionally, she can affect the mind and senses. The manipulation causes instability through forcing a near connection to the Spirit Realm. For each individual, the mind reacts differently.
Anoi causes varying physical trauma as a result of being able to 'flip' someone nearly into the spirit realm. This cannot be attempted without contact, for physical contact not only makes it much more likely to work but also avoids harming Anoi in the process. For this purpose, Anoi carries a white whip with three long tails. Some know Anoi as 'the Ghost Whip.'
To a lesser extent, Anoi is sometimes able to absorb the force of an attack. Of course there are severe limits to this in how long she can do it and the strength of her opponent. It provides at best a temporary defensive block.
appearance:: Anoi stands at about 5'8. Her body is gaunt, seemingly all bone and angles. The dark skin that covers her wiry frame is in rough condition, tanned and weathered from the elements. Anoi's messy ashen blonde hair is barely long enough to peek out more than a few inches under a hat. The clothes Anoi wears are simple, often borrowed, and she usually ends up going barefoot.
She is known for carrying a long white three-tailed whip at her side.
