Knowing how hurtful words such as these can be ignorant people STILL will use them.
Story
I was walking down the street with my boyfriend last night and we passed two girls, one of whom decided it would be fun to say in a slightly raised voice.
"Lose some weight b***h."
Do they know me? No. Did I do something to offend them? No, I was merely having a regular conversation with my boyfriend.
Do they know that I have tried MANY times to lose weight? Do they know that I've gone a year on proper diet and exercise and halfway through plateaued at 170lbs? Do they know how DEPRESSED I have been since moving 16 hours away from my friends and family? Do they know that this depression has caused me to gain 60 lbs? Do they know how much I would love to lose the weight?
Do they know how BADLY I wanted to smash their heads into the sidewalk and cause them physical harm?

not to say that violence solves everything, but i would have (and have done in the past) broken their shins with a bowling pin. (that kid learned to never make fun of my weight ever again)
it's tough as hell to be that far away from family and friends. (oooh, my blood is so angry right now....i wanna beat up some skinny bitches)
