Of course, on my first two weeks of Gaia, I mostly hung around the Chatterbox. Spamming it up as do most people. I was surprised when my long time online friend Nari directed me as to Barton Town, the RP part of Gaia. I had mostly just skimmed through the forums index, so I must have past over the RP section.
On not my first day (my first day, I set up an RP with Nari), but my second day, I had already become considered 'literate' (which really isn't a good way to discribe people who take the time to write properly, becuase it's not as though the people using chat speak don't know how to use grammar it's more that they choose not to. And simply becuase of the fact that they choose not to, does NOT mean that they cannot read and write. As I'm sure that most 'illiterates' know very well how to read and write, or they wouldn't be on the internet period), but by my second day, I had actually been considered a 'decent role player'.
It makes me kind of happy to know that out of the 30 thousand or so RP threads on Gaia, someone came across one of the two (or even possibly both) of the role plays I'm part of and said to themselves "She, is a literate role player." but some where in there, they also must have liked my style because I was invited into their guild.
Geez, I feel special inside
