Link drpped to his knees beside the unconscious Miles. He wasn't sure what to do, but he had to get him out of here. Nil ran into the stadium and hissed,"Kid, what the hell do you think you're doing?" "Well, we can't just leave him here!" Link said. "And besides, it's not his fault. He didn't mean to kill those people. He was possessed." Nil looked at Link surprised. "So, what do you wanna do about it?" "Well, I don't know, let's just get out of here!" Nil quickly picked up Miles and the pair ran out of the stadium. They ran into one of the back alleys of the town and stopped to rest. "Damn, the kid's really knocked out. He just fainted in there? And what about you? What were those flames?" "I...I'm not sure..." Link replied quietly. Nil shook his head and with a grin said ,"You've gotta be one of the craziest kids I have ever met!" Link grinned back. "Oh, hey! He's coming to!" Miles stirred and barely opened his eyes. "Wha...what?" Link said ,"You're fine now...just rest." Miles could do nothing but shut his eyes. Link got back up and said ,"Let's go Nil. We'll take him to Hyrule Castle." Nil hauled him back up and said ,"Allright, let's hurry. This kid's heavy."

Link and Nil set him down on Link's bed, then shut the door and walked into the hall. "First up we need to find Zelda. She doesn't know about anything that's going on, and she might be able to help us." Link and Nil quickly ran to Zelda's room and started pounding on the door. "Zelda! It's Link and Nil!" Zelda quickly opened the door and asked ,"Link? What's wrong?" Link said ,"I never told you what happened while I was gone. You definitely need to know." Zelda looked at him now. 'He seems...different. More like his old self.' Zelda let them in and closed the doors. Link told her his story of Majora's Mask, and then skimmed the rest of his years. When he was done, Zelda contemplated for a moment. She finally said ,"Did you bring back the Fierce Diety's Mask?" Link's eyes widened, and he paused for a moment. "...No." Zelda nodded her understanding and said ,"And why did you decide to tell me this now?" "Well, that's the next part..." Link brought up his hand and clenched it into a fist. Flames burst into existence and covered it. It disappeared in an instant, but that was all it took for Zelda. Link told her the rest of the story, ending with how they had brought Miles back to the castle. "Do you know what happened when you encountered your younger self in the world of white and black?" Link shook his head, and listened intently. "That was your mind. The black chains represented your memories of pain and horror, after Termina. The younger you was all your good memories and the light in your life back then. So, when you chose the younger self over the chains, you erased all the pain you have carried all these years." "So...what does that mean?" Nil asked. "It means..." Link said,"I am an almagation of my younger self and older self." Zelda nodded and said,"You might start reverting slightly to your younger self. Meaning your personality, looks, and other traits." Linik nodded. Thos was alot of news to Link, but Nil was overwhelmed. "Ergh...I'm lost. Maybe I'll go eat a roasted cuckoo or something..." He bade goodbye and left. Several hours had already passed without anyone noticing. "Whoops! We forgot Miles!" Link raced down the stairs and through some halls until he was back at his room. He quietly creaked the door open and looked through. Miles sat on the edge of the bed, looking pained. His eyes were shut and his hands were on his knees. Link came in and Miles almost looked like he wanted to jump out of the window. "Hey hey! Calm down! I'm not doing anything", Link said. He sat back down, but was still tensed. "Are you allright?" Miles said nothing. Link stood in the doorway and Zelda came up behind him. Link glanced back. "Do you know me?" Link's attention instantly snapped to Miles. He hesitated, then said quietly,"No, I don't." Miles nodded and turned his head away. "Why did you help me? All I did was try to kill you? So why?" Link thought for a moment, then said ,"Why not? I couldn't just leave you there, you were unconscious. And besides...you didn't try to kill me. That necklace you wear did." Miles hand went up and almost touched the necklace. Link said ,"So who are you? And I don't mean you're name..." Miles looked away and said ,"I don't know." "...huh?" "I have no memories." Link was absolutely dumbfounded; he didn't know what to do. Zelda said ,"So that's why you entered the tournament; you were hoping to find someone who knew you, right? Alot of people gather at those kinds of things. So you're trying to find someway to find out who you are." Miles masked a surprised look and said nothing. Link thought for a moment then turned to Zelda. "Zelda. Is there any place where he could maybe get back some of his memories? Something that would jog him back?" Zelda said ,"There is one place shrouded in mystery. Very little people know it exist and it masks secrets of amazing power. I do not know if it will help Miles get back his memories or not." Link nodded and said ,"Then we depart in the morning." Miles turned his head to Link and said ,"What?" "You want your memories back right? So let's go there and see if there's anything there that will help you!" Miles said,"I will go alone." Link shook his head and said ,"Two heads are better than one. If anything I'll be able to help, at least just a little. So get some sleep and we'll leave in the morning." Link and Zelda left before he could put up an argument. "Link, what're you doing?" "Helping him! He needs it! I've never heard of anyone losing their memories...so I gotta help him some way!" Zelda nodded and hid a smile. He really was becoming like his younger self.
