I'm not sure exactly what this will turn out to be, but so far my intentions are to write down creative stuff that I come up with...mainly stories. I might throw in some real life adventures I'm having at the moment...who knows.
Rhayne part III
Her boots echoed down the halls of Maveria, as Rhayne strode towards the door. She stopped as she heard a screech that she knew all to well. Skiver flew above her and perched on one of many statues that lined the halls. Holding out her bare fist for the hawk to perch on, she called to him. Skiver hastily jumped onto her hand and she began walking again.
"You were gone a long time Rhayne." She gasped slightly as she spun around. She hadn't even heard him approach. "And now you're leaving again? Where are you going?"
"I was just going to-" Rhayne sucked in air through her clenched teeth as Skiver's talons dug into her flesh.
"Skiver." Lucian held out his hand and the Hawk immediately went to him. Blood trickled down Rhayne's fingers and fell to the floor. Lucian's eyes narrowed at the sight of her blood, "You've grown weak..."
"I," she let her hand fall to her side, "forgive me I."
"There is nothing to forgive." He let the subject drop. "I have some business to attend to..." He glanced at her hand as another drop of blood fell to the floor. "I want you to stay here and watch over the Keep." He turned and walked away.
Weak...? she thought, careless perhaps but not weak.
"Lucian?" her voice echoed off the tall ceilings.
"What is it Rhayne?" He stopped walking, but his back was still to her.
"I..." she faltered not knowing how to say it, "-um, what about the dead?"
"I will take care of them on my way back."
"But I..." her words trailed off as he turned to face her.
"I carried out such tasks before you were here with me, it is not beneath me to do so now." His voice was calm as he spoke, "I want you to look after the Keep. Will you disobey me in this?"
"No, I will do as you ask."
"Thank you, Rhayne." He turned as if to leave but remained still as he looked ahead, almost as if he was going to say something else. Then he began walking, I thought I might have lost you today, please do as I ask. Stay here. You are safe within these walls.
