Tee Hee Hee!
Okay, here I am, writing yet another useless journal entry due to the fact I have nothing better to do when I'm bored to tears.
ANYHOW! ><;;
Most high schoolers hate school enough as it is, so why would someone want to go to two schools at once?
I don't know how to answer that, but I'm going to high school and college at the same time. YAY for me!!
Most people at my college think I'm in my early twenties...
when I'm really only turning sixteen here in a week...
So it's kinda awkward when I'm the youngest student at my school and the only girl out of 8 other guys including my teacher in my class. I'm also the shortest.
I go to a place called Paragon Culinary School. It's amazing!
It's for cooking, and yes, I plan to become an awesome chef! ^ ^ It's awesome that I go there, considering that I get to talk with the Culinary Ambassador of the U.S. He's my teacher right now. Master Chef Victor Matthews!
It's really cool to talk with him!
A lot of people may think that I'm a flippin psycho to sign myself up for such a violent job at such a young age. A lot of the people in my class think that, and I have been deemed "Crazy Psycho High School Chick" =_O;;
But yeah.
Now I'm sure the whole maybe two readers of this are asking mentally, "Chef? Thats a violent job? Haha loser, whatever."
But it IS very violent.
If anyone has ever been to a restaurant's that is not a chain, have you ever wondered why the last tables are so far away from the kitchen doors? The reason is because when the Executive or the Sous Chefs get pissed at each other or at a line cook, they start screaming, and people can get stabbed or hit with a pan if the screw up bad enough... aha... >_>
Like my Chef.. He told us one class he's been kicked down stairs, doused in hot oil, whacked with hot frying pans, stabbed a lot.... He's also had 900 F mashed potatoes fall over onto him X_X;;
Thats why people look at me like I'm nuts for signing up to do this xD I don't blame them.
I am crazy.
Ahaha.
Now. Back on track...
I get to learn some pretty nifty stuff at Paragon! Last week I learned how to make pizza from scratch, dough and all. It was fun!!
And on Wednesday, my class was left this terribly obscure note on the white board in the classroom that said:
"PIZZA PRACTICAL FOR NIGHT CLASS 6-10!!
Everyone use well technique to make a small pizza. Ingredients are in the kitchen.
15 mins. to prep, 1 hour and 15 to cook!! See you all at 7:15, ♥ Chef Matthews!"
I'm dead serious. ._.
I get to school at 5 in the evening! So I could have done that quickly, but who wants 2 hour old pizza? No one does. So I waited a while... XD;
One of the upperclassmen named Tom came out and told me about it, and I told him I saw it... and he told me I could chill in the kitchen after I got my coat and talk with him... XD
He was flirting with me
and he almost dropped the pan of peas he was cooking when I told him I was only fifteen... ahaha... <<;;; He thought i was nineteen or twenty, maybe even twenty-one-ish!!! O_O I almost fell over when he told me that!! I never knew I could look so old and act that mature
If he saw me at school he'd be able to tell that I'm a Sophomore in high school xD
I act like a nutcase most of the time... lol.
So that was that, I made my pizza and it got a little deformed when it went into the oven... x_x
I had out cornmeal on the paddle thingie, and it had gotten wet and sticky!
So my pizza became a hater, and Micheal and Chef had to pry it off of the paddle, and it got a tad mangled :domo: and so we made the paddle un-sticky, and on it's way into the oven the edge got stuck on a small sticky spot left on the paddle and it tore a bit, but it came out okay. lol
Chef loved it!! ^ ^ He said the crust was all perfect and crispy-fied! So haha, people who doubted my pizza awesomness!! (like Micheal) Chef had seconds of my pizza only... and Chef Hidi had seconds as well... lol. The upperclassmen who were there liked it too... And Tom loved it, telling me "This is the BEST pizza I've ever had!!" Lol. One of my classmates said he liked my pizza better than he liked his own..
eheh...
