Rants for the week, ect. Color coded cause I'm bored.
#1- Reason Why.... I support Bush/the war
It's not just Bush. I'm not fond of Hilary's opinions, but if she gets elected I will support her. Now for the reason why. It isn't because I view the president as some God-king, as the Egyptians, or that I follow them mindlessly without critizing what they do. It's my patriotism. I'm not saying you aren't patriotic if you don't support Bush. I'm mearly saying I will support any president that gets elected because they got elected. This means at least part of this country wants them in this position of power. Furthermore, most of the stuff that was blamed on Bush was not his fault/all his fault. Study the balance of power if you don't believe me. Most/all that he does/did had to go through quite a few others. But I digress.
#2-Reason why....I support the war, but want it to end
Yes, I wish the war was over. I wish it with all my heart. We have too much to lose over there. However, I still support the war. As long as it continues, I will support it. As long as our troops are dying. Prime example: Paul. He's already signed with the marines. The day after he graduates, he goes to Basic. A month or so later, he's in the battle zone. But he wants to go. He loves his country. I'm not saying you don't if you don't go to war, but he views this as the thing he can do to help this country the most. Don't misunderstand me- this war is in the wrong place, the plans were wrong, and it's going too long. It's a watered down Vietnam. But as long as my friends/family/friend's family is over there, I will support the troops. I will not turn my back and bad mouth it. I will not support removing all troops at one time, and ruining all we worked for (gradual removal-1year max, 1 month min). And I will not stand on the side of the road with signs that say "God Hates America" and "Thank God for Dead Soldiers" like the Westboro Baptist Church. For those of you that don't know of them, look them up. I guarentee anger.
#3-Reason why....I like to debate with Jason
^^- For one, I like to talk to him. It's calming. Another reason is his style. He isn't insulting, yet his ideas are precise, defined, and strong. He can argue his point without angering me, but still not come across as 'weak'(by that, I mean his ideas hold no voice). Furthermore, his ideas are radically different then mine. This gives us a variety of things to discuss and debate. He's also sensitive of sore spots (such as high held morals) and knows which topics to stay away from (heated ones, such as abortion). He understands he won't change my views on most things, but also that I won't stop him from trying. He's quick to look up a detail if wither of us don't know(such as if the electorial college is elected?) and support his arguments with hard facts. AND he likes debating with me. :'D
Kay. I'm done for this week. More next week. Debate if you wish. I'll be here. (Well der.)
Good Points: None yet. :C
