"Hey, Kattie, wait up, I want to talk to you!"

Kattie saw Carlos running towards her. "Carlos, there's nothing to talk about, you jackass."

"Kattie, I know that I was acting like a jerk, but you can't... I can't..." He hesitated, trying to find the right words. "I'm sorry." The words came out in what it seemed like a whisper.

"What was that? I couldn't hear you."

"I'm sorry, okay?" His voice went back to his arrogant, normal tone and volume, "I might of took it way to far at the party, but try to think of how I felt when Emily was saying that you didn't love me and you didn't deny it or anything? You just stood, watching the floor as if felt guilty or something!"

"Look, we are through, I don't have to explain anything to you."

"Kattie, wait..." But it was too late, Kattie was running away from him, and there was nothing he could do about it.
