Stillness


Its all so still
Everything...
All problems...
Insignificant in comparison

So very still
Like an abandoned house
Everything left behind

Ominous of something more
Something worse
The stillness erie
Unsettling

It brings forth depression
Like a veil that blankets the image
That's it, its just a photo
Left in front of the eyes

The stillness
All untouched
No life
Surreal

To escape-to runaway
Like how it appears
Everyone else did
This knife can do it so easy

Maybe if I join the silence
The stillness...
With my own absence of movement
All will be right

I could join this haunting image
The blade in my hand trembles...
So near the skin

I could end it now
Join the stillness
The very silence I want to escape
It wouldn't end the unmoving landscape
But with silence of breath
For me it could
