Just woke up from a dream where I accidentally hit my biological mother with a car and killed her. They were living somewhere much farther south than they do now. My step-dad had taken a higher-paying job and commuted to work via private Cesna to work of all things. I was coming home one late night to visit and going a bit too fast in the driveway and for whatever reason there she was, like a deer in the headlights, and I couldn't stop. Just the day before her and my sisters and my step-dad had gone white water rafting on a river that was near their new home.

In my dream I didn't cry at the funeral, just as I was numb at the funeral of my adopted mother. But, afterwards I was driving my mom's car back to her house, for whatever reason, and found her burned CD's under the seat. I put one in, and it was like she was there sitting beside me in the car, talking to me like she never talked to me before. She seemed so happy, but it wasn't her...it was like a recording..just like the CD. She was just carrying on some pre-recorded conversation unremembered by me. And in my dream I just started bawling, I shut off the car and parked it and leaned over and cried and cried and cried.

Apparently I had pulled over in front of an old man's house that lived just a few houses down from my mom and caught him while he was outside drinking with a few friends on the front porch. He came up to the car and when he saw that it was me he just stood there stunned. All I could do was get out of the car and cry on his shoulder...and he let me. Then I woke up....crying.

At some point I got chased off my mom's property by a gang of black guys accusing me of killing her. I don't even want to think what a dream analyst might have to say about that particular part of the dream. confused
