Grandfather passed away around 1pm-ish GMT today. Mum was flying from Belfast to London when it happened to catch her flight from London to Hong Kong. She's very upset that she didn't get to make in time. Uncle said he seemed to pass away peacefully.
Dad is staying to sort things out with regard to selling the shop. Once things are sorted, he will follow her. I hope both can stay in Hong Kong long enough to tie things up on that end.
Grandfather (mum's side) was always a lovely individual, a man of few words but a good heart. Every time we came to visit, he'd smile and would always offer to go to the local bakery to pick up fresh buns straight out of the oven for us. He would also buy wonton and sui kau from the noodle shop downstairs from the flat.
I will miss you Grandfather...
