Tabula Rosa - Clean Slate (again). I've decided that I'm going to start posting in my journal everyday. So, now you guys can have fun watching me go by through the summertime. I might miss a day or two, but if I do, just send me a PM and I'll get right on it. Thanks.
Now, for other news, yesterday was the best day of my whole entire summer. I went to Benso, Arizona for a YES/TI (Youth Empowered Success/Teen Institute) pre-retreat meeting. This is all happening because I am going to Eastern Arizona College in July from the 17th to the 22nd. Well, I thought that it would just be a ride to Benson to hear a lecture on what we should bring, what we shouldn't bring, etc. You know, the boring stuff. I was wrong. We played games, watched movies, ate food, and my favorite was that I got to know everyone there. Me and my friend Quaite (Blangsterz) are the leading members of Team Sierra Vista (where I live), and we got to meet people from Greenlee County, Pima County, Benson, Bisbee, and Safford (however it's spelled). It was way cool.
My day went by pretty fast, though. I had to wake up at 8:30 AM to get ready to leave at about 9:00 AM. Quaite's mom took us (she's coming in July, too) and we went to pick up Quaite's sister. We all got there at about 9:30 AM, but the meeting didn't start until 10:00 AM. So, we had thirty minutes of dowhateveryouwant freetime. So, me and Quaite just walk around and get to know people. The first people we noticed were two girls-- Kim and Cheyla. Kim was the better looking of the two girls, but Cheyla was still pretty. Quaite had his eye on Kim, but I didn't care. I just broke out of a relationship, and I just want to settle down for a while. So, we hung out with them for a while. Everyone was there at 10:00 AM, and we started off with a game. You had to pass a ball to someone and say your name. The person who you passed it to had to say your name and then theirs, and then pass it off. And so on. It was fun, and we did all of the people in our group in about 31 seconds (which is short time 'cause there was a lot of us). We stopped for a while, had something to drink and eat, and then we went outside. We were playing "Life-size Rock, Paper, Scissors." I stayed in until the very last round, 'cause everyone started without me. But, it was still fun!
It was fun and all, but in Benson it was about 99 degrees outside and I was wearing all black. So, I got super hot after about ten minutes of being out there. Not to mention sweaty. As we went back inside, there was food around every corner of the place. It was like a dream come true. Chewy bars, sandwiches, sodas, and water. Mmm-mmm! It was delicious. After we ate, we all sat in a circle and played the "Don't laugh" game. You and someone else stand infront of eachother and try to make the other person laugh. If you laugh, you're out, and the person after you comes up and tries. It got to me, and I was like a stone wall. I didn't laugh, and overtime, the people just gave up. I made a bunch of people laugh, though. So, I'm the CHAMPION!
After that, we got back into our circle and talked about going to EAC (Eastern Arizona College). She told us the rules, what we're gonna do, and what we should bring and leave to the college. We're staying in dorms, so we don't need to bring much. Clothes, pillows, blankets, and hygene products. Jack, our Adult Supervisor/Leader arranged it so that I'm in the same dorm as my friend, so I don't have to 'mingle' with anyone else. I don't want to be stuck with some crack-pot who thinks he's the king of the world or anything. So, I'm good.
And well, that's how my day was. I can't post anything about today, since it's only 5:15 AM. So, I'll get back to on that later! Thanks for reading!
