Into the Chibi
Pets and Plushies Names
I've seen, and participated, in a few threads that were dedicated to naming the plushies/pets one owns. To help remember what I have named each creature I thought I would put the in-depth list here. It also helps for when I collect a new one so the list can remain updated.

Monthly Collectibles
Coco Kitty named Tangah (Taken after the real name of my own black kitty).
Gwee named Draca (Derived from Draco which means 'Dragon').
Pixie named Devon (Named after the area of Devon, England where Pixies are said to be heavily concentrated).
Elemental Hair: Essence of Earth – The Five Butterflies are named Aponi, Chou, Kelebek, Psyche, and Teter (All the names, from around the world, mean 'Butterfly').
Elemental Hair: Essence of Life – The Three Birds are named Amber, Saffron, and Topaz (All the names contain a shade of yellow in their color).
Gift of the Goddess: Athena’s Enlightened Cape - The Two Doves are named Metis and Nike (Metis was Athena’s mother and Nike, Goddess of Victory, accompanied Athena).
Gift of the Goddess: Kaguya’s Celestial Cranes - The Three Cranes are named Takehiko, Truc, and Zhu (All the names mean 'Bamboo'; this is due to the fact that Kaguya-hime comes from the Tale of the Bamboo Cutter in Japanese folklore).
Aquatica: Fish are Friends – School of 9 Purple Anthias are named Amethyst, Indigo, Grape, Lavender, Lilac, Mauve, Plum, Orchid, and Violet (All names have a link with the color purple).
Aquatica: Fish are Friends – Regal Tang named Regalis (Latin word and basis for Regal).
Aquatica: Fish are Friends – Spotfin Butterflyfish named Lulu (Arabic for 'Pearl' – the sheen of the white portion makes me think of pearls).
Aquatica: Fish are Friends – Clown Anemonefish named Isaac (Isaac means ‘he laughs’ and since clowns are suppose to make us laugh; well, the name seemed logical).
Aquatica: Fish are Friends – Zebra Fish named Danio (Danio rerio is the scientific name of the Zebra fish).
Aquatica: Fish are Friends – Gin Matsuba [Red Koi] named Akane (means 'Deep Red' in Japanese).
Aquatica: Fish are Friends – School of 7 Alexander’s Damselfish are named Azure, Cyan, Denim, Lapis, Periwinkle, Sapphire, and Teal (All names have a link with the color blue).
Western Zodiac: Pisces – The Two Fish are named Jupiter and Neptune (The houses that rule the Zodiac sign of Pisces).
Summoning Tome: Frog named Naida (derived from Naiad taken from Greek mythology; water nymph).
Summoning Tome: Toad named Nereus (taken from Greek mythology; sea god).
Summoning Tome: Dragon of Darkness named Deth (sounds like Death).
Summoning Tome: Dragon of Light named Gavin (taken from Arthurian mythology; the name means 'White').
Summoning Tome: Poe named Hylas (taken from Norse mythology; cross between Odin and the Valkyries and their relation to the ravens).
Summoning Tome: Owlda named Athenais (derived from Athena who had an owl as well)
Summoning Tome: Owlda’s Parliament – The Two Owls are named Glaukopis, and Pallas (Both are derived from titles given to Athena. Glaukopsi meaning ‘owl-eyed’ and Pallas meaning ‘brandisher’ – of weapons).
Gift of the Gods: Cerberus - Three Heads are named Hercules, Hermes, and Orpheus (The heads are named after three figures of Greek Mythology who overcame Cerberus in their journeys).
Grunny named Verde (Spanish for 'Green' because Grunnies are green XD).
Magical Girl: Phee-chan (re-)named Majokko (Taken from an older Japanese term to describe a magical girl; majokko translates as 'witch girl').
Rock Puppy named Iggy (Iggy being a nickname for Igneous which is a type of rock that is formed by crystallization of molten materials).

Extra Items
Benny the Puppy (re-)named Winston (Taken after my real life dog Winston who has passed away).
Langer the Dragon Plush (re-)named Ladon (Taken from an Ancient Greek dragon that guarded the golden apple tree of goddess Hera. It was killed by Herakles in order to steal the apples).
Armadillo Pinball named Toly (Toly comes from Tolypeutes which is the scientific name of the South American Three Banded Armadillo. The only armadillo able to completely roll into a ball).

Handheld Items
Black Goldfish in Bag named Ce (In Chinese goldfishing classification Ce, also called Grass, are goldfish without anything fancy. This is the type that is usually used in Japanese carnivals, especially for "goldfish scoops" wink .
Chucky the Rubber Ducky (re-)named Duckie (Taken after the second traditional spelling of the rubber duck).

Cash Shop Items
Kappa Plush named Kyukumbar aka Kyu (its the phonetic spelling for Cucumber. In Japanese folklore if you wrote the name of a person on a cucumber and put it in the water were a kappa lived they would let the person cross without harming them
Korora the Little Blue Penguin Plush (re-)named Azul (Azul is Spanish for 'Blue' and given in name of the Koroa, or the Little Blue Penguins, which are called Pingüino azul in Chile).
Tuga the Narwhal Plush (re-)named Balder (Another name for the Narwhal is the 'Moon Whale' and so I decided to use Nanna, a Norse Moon Goddess, husband's name considering only the male Narwhal have the tusk).
Pink Sweetheart Teddy named Beir (Taken from phonetic spelling of bear).
Tiny Tom (re-)named Tomas (Seeing as Tom is a nickname used for Thomas and Tomas is another ethnic variation of Thomas I thought it was a nice change ^^).
Jay (re-)named Jaya (Jay is derived from the Sanskrit Jaya meaning 'Victory'. I decided I like Jaya better).
Luck o' the Gairish: Leprechaun named Luprachán (The old Irish Gaelic root word for leprechaun).
Brown Bun-Bun Plushie named Oschter Haws (Taken after the first reference of the 'Easter Bunny' which was in Germany).
Panda Plushie named Lian Ping (Taken after an RP character I play).

Evolving Items
Tama's Basket named Leac (Leac is the Old English root for Leek).
DandiiDooDad named Gowan (DandiiDooDad makes me think of Dandilion and Gowan is another name for the Dandilion).
Green Corallus Egg named Boidae (Boidae is the family name for the Corallus genus which include tree boas).
Pantheracorax Agate named Grifon (The French term for Griffin).
Hermes' Moon named Mercury (Taken after the Roman name for the Greek God Hermes).
Orindae named Bufo (Taken after the scientific name for true toads).
White Drome Egg named Blanca (Blanca is a Spanish name meaning 'White').
Alruna's Rose: Nymp named Adel (In German Alruna is a shortened name of Adelruna and Adel is another shortened name that I like).
Dionaesil named Dionaea (A name attributed to the Greek Goddess Aphrodite, Venus in Roman, that means 'The Goddess' and ties her to her mother, Dione).
Enchanted Book: Rats are named Waley, Perrault, Samber, and Lang (The names are taken after Arthur Waley who translated the Chinese Cinderella story Ye Xian/Yeh-Shen into English, Charles Perrault who wrote the French Cendrillon, Robert Samber who translated the French Cendrillon into English, and Andrew Lang who discovered the Scottish Rashin Coatie).
Enchanted Book: Birds are named Ashenputtel and Zezolla (The names are taken after the protagonists of two Cinderella variations. One by Wilhelm & Jacob Grimm from the German story of the same name from the Kinder-und Hausmarchen collection and Giambattista Basile's Italian La Gatta Cenerentola).
Enchanted Book: Wicked Stepmother named Lady Tremaine (Taken from Cinderella's stepmother's name).
Enchanted Book: Lucy the Cat (re-)named Diana (Taken after the cat from Disney's Alice in Wonderland).
Inari's Beads: Fushigibi named Bi (A nickname from Fushigi Bi which can translate as 'Mysterious Beauty').
Inari's Beads: Fushigibi Spirit Swirl are named Fushi and Gi (Nicknames from Fushigi which can translate as 'Mysterious').
Furugasa named Zaa (Its an onomatopoeia describing the sound of the rain).
Picolitrosso's Urn named Friuli (Taken after the Italian province of Friuli-Venezia Giulia region where Picolit white-wine grapes are found).
Kelp o' th' Lock named Garve (From the Loch Garve, in Ross-shire, mentioned in the folktale The Kelpie's Wife).
Yama no Tamago named Montane (Montane describes mountainous areas and things associated with them. This is based off of Yama which can be translated as 'Mountain' and Tamago as 'Egg' making the name mean Mountain Egg).
Padmavati's Lotus named Alamelu Manga (Translates as 'Lady of the Lotus' which is a similar translation of Padmavati).

Freebie Items
Mimzy named Petro (Russian for 'Peter' and Peter is, of course, Peter Cottontail).
Spiderwick Sprite named Fata (Fata, the Goddess of Fate, is the root name in Vulgar Latin in which the word Fae is taken from. Fae is the traditional root word in which we receive fairy).

Gaia Event Items
Mini Ghost named Eire (Pronounced like eerie; not taken after the island known as Ireland – I just liked the spelling).
Water Meat named Izotz (Basque for 'Ice' since I think of them as arctic creatures).
The Three Chicks are named Harri (Harrietta), Henri (Henrietta), and Mattie (Mahittieia) (All are female family names).
Spider on my Face named Hagrid (named after a character from the Harry Potter series; because he had a pet arachnid).
Dead Rat Hat named Willard (named after the man who man who took care of Ben and Socrates in Willard)
Little Black Bat named Asher (taken after a character from the Anita Blake series).
