The Prism
A place for me to record day-to-day thoughts and occurances.
As some of you may already know, I have a slight Lord of the Rings obsession. *grins* Well, in that case, it prbably comes as no surprise that I'm rereading the books. I'm halfway through The Fellowship of the Ring already, and once again I find myself dissapointed by the movies. The scenes that they did include were done in a decent fashion, yes, but they left out so much!

...They also changed a lot. For example, Arwen wasn't supposed to show up until they entered the Hall of Fire in Rivendell-- another missing scene. It was Glorfindel who was supposed to join up with Aragorn and the hobbits on their way to Imladris. *sighs* And I was so looking forward to that scene. Oh well...

Gloin, one of Bilbo's companions from The Hobbit actually had several lines in the book, but never ONCE spoke in the movie! As I said before, I am disapointed. Still I am rational enough to see the reasoning behind the missing and altered scenes. There's only so much time one can spend watching a movie, after all.
