Okay, first off, I FINALLY managed to find a job in this area that I refer to as "An eternal episode of the Beverly Hillbillies". Starting friday, I'll be working for the Salvation Army as a Bell Ringer; I'll be working six days a week, four hours a day for six dollars an hour. Granted this is only a seasonal job that will run from this friday until Christmas Eve, it's still a JOB! Either way, the money is good and I'll have decent hours. By Christmas, I'll have made around 900 bucks; maybe more if I do well and they gimme more hours! n.n
Of course, this will mean less time for my projects and such, such as the card game and the sprite dollmaker, BUT... the way i figure it, since I'll be spending so much time working on not only my college lessons now, but also on this bell ringing job, I'll probably feel more compelled to work on such things and perhaps get even more done on my projects than usual. n.n
But yeah, this bell ringing job is gonna be cold, but hey, it's still a job! So, yeah, I'm seriously happy about this! n.n All though, the training video they showed us on how to ring the bell was a little odd... -___-; Meh, whatever. Now I can start paying off some college bills and start saving for other things... like maybe a Wii.
Speaking of the Wii, I'm seriously thinking of getting one for my Dad for Christmas, since I'll be making so much on this job anyway. See, he really loves Super Smash Brothers Melee on the Gamecube, and with Super Smash Brothers Brawl coming out for the Wii PLUS the fact that I wanna play Sonic and the Secret Rings, it's a win/win sitch. Granted I wanna play Sonic 2006 MORE than Sonic and the Secret Rings, but... my Dad's done so much for me, he deserves this much.
What? Stop looking at me like I'm nuts. YES, my Dad is a gamer. Granted not as avid of a gamer as I am, but he IS a gamer. Trust me, NEVER challenge him at 2-Player on Dr. robotnik's Mean Bean Machine. You will get roasted, toasted and burnt to a crisp. Same goes for when he uses Fox or Link in SSBM. Not bad for a guy who's 66, eh?
Oh, one other great thing; I passed my English class at the College! Turns out I had some assignments that had been ungraded that I'd forgotten about, said assignments being great enough to help me pass! n.n So, yeah, now I'm tackling English 102 this term. It's gotten off to a bit of a rocky start, but hey, I think I can make it. n.n Pray for me! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
