Wow, thanks for all the good wishes and support with losing my job and all. I really, really appreciate it! You know it's so weird. You do something for 5 years and get so used to it and then all of a sudden like that it's gone and you wonder what was it all for you know, all the people you met and things you learn that only relate to one job, and the habits you become used to?
Anyway I got a new job. This one is tougher, longer hours, an hour commute by bus each way, but it seems like a good place and I'm fitting in well. Apparently my knack at being good at finding things on the internet is actually an important talent and that's why I was hired. I am now a medical researcher. It's really interesting, though it can be tough.
The interview part was actually funny. My interview was actually a working interview. They sat me down and gave me a list of things to find. I was all stressed out because this was new to me, the guy was standing right over my shoulder and practically breathing down my neck. Boy was I shaking in my boots. I only found 2 of the 5 things and I thought I did terribly and went home all upset only to find that they not only hired me, but that no one in the office had been able to find any of them. When I came in the next day to meet my supervisor she said, "So you're the one who found the listings no one else could find." and she explained what had happened. Here I was thinking I'd completely failed and apparently I'm one of the best they have there XD.
So anyway I wanted to apologize to everyone for not responding and keeping up with my RPs for the past week and a half. It's been really really hectic and I'm still trying to find time for everything with these longer hours. Thanks again!! smile
