Thursday:
There was an AN(which is how I will refer to Anime North for the remainder of this journal) kickoff party which I didn't go to. I stayed at my friend's place(Vera_M), and I got all ready for my first con/cos/crossplay.
Friday: I take a ride with Ultimo(note I am using the Gaian usernames as most people of this story are from Gaia) and his mom was there. I was so eager to have a ride cause crossplayin' across TO ain't pretty.
So we arrived fairly early, really early, though there were people there. They were like all staring at me, and I was feeling for a second like, "what have I got myself into", I felt better once people started taking my picture.My favorite quote from this bit, "wow your a pretty man." One guy actually called me "miss" so I knew I was doing something right. We were waiting for Jedi_Megaman, and could not find him at all, we were between(we as in Ultimo and I) looking further or lunch. We decided to look further. We needed to find Jedi_Megaman, cause we were supposed to volunteer at the same booth he was, mainly for unloading and setup purposes. The volunteering would get us dealers passes, so this was urgent. We came around to where trucks were unloading, as far as Jedi_Megaman recounted, it was because someone there said, "look it's Yuna", he turned around and by chance it happened to be me.
So thus four hours more or less we were working, Ultimo's cell had a screwed up clock so when it was four he said it was two, I was like "three more hours till doors open?
" Thank God his cell was wrong. So we then go to Harvey's, and well I wouldn't do so again, those original burgers with cheese and bacon are too messy, I was worried all over.
Anyways, it's time AN begins!!(at this rate I may need to use up two entries) As it begins I am helping with the volunteering while Ultimo went off to a fighting game tourney. As soon as we were both free, it all went crazy. We met Ashley and Duckie(and some of their friends) outside the video game room, eventually we also saw Angie in line, and we saw Zahmi with her awesome hellsing cosplay group. Then I saw a distinctive armour shining, and I was like, "OMFG!!"it was Mameoyoshi and Fire!!So I just kinda like run towards em and hug them(hugging Mame in that armour was a bit of a pain though)
So randomly, Ultimo ends up going with Duckie to her hotel, and I end up chilling with Mame and Fire.
So we are just really at this point, checking out the artists alley and dealers room, and really actually getting to know each other. Rapidly I gained the taste for "picture whoring" getting my pic taken as much times as possible. Some people even gave me business cards, I wonder when my pic will be up...
We also then saw Lord Hornet, and Ramen God, some other people, etc.
Finally I meet up with Ultimo again and find out he was back working!!
I was thinking, "I am pondering between a "ha ha"or a "damn"." Well he certainly didn't want to go back there. So we kinda dodged the dealers room for the most part of the day.
So we were at the hotel, Fire and Mame needed to drop off some stuff, and
we needed to check up on Masquerade info, they were to perform and I was really interested in attending. As the hour grows late, I am still at the hotel, a friend invited me to stay, but I stayed for like twenty minutes, I didn't really feel comfortable there, so I left going elsewhere. Actually I ended up losing my bow/ribbon but I know the guy who has it, seeing as though I work it will be hard meeting up to get it, but it's not lost. I found some guys I had talked too before, we walked around, then finally they have the brilliant idea of seeing a Yaoi movie!!
It was disturbing to say the least but kinda funny(I am never eating corn again!!),I missed half of it looking for my bow anyways, then to balance thingsout, we watched a Hentai movie with the mandatory tentacles. I was dying by then, I really needed sleep. A highlight moment was when all the guys there were kicking a can or something, and I just watched. A guy saw me and said, "don't even try to figure out boys." a clear implication that I am not one myself!!I was talking to Sunflower Goddess and the other guys, and then I just passed out. For two hours from 3AM till 5AM when a hotel dude woke me up for sleeping in the lobby. So I had to kind leave, but I killed an hour walking around in a circle. So at 6 I was heading to my friends house to get cleaned up again. However I ended up sleeping for like three hours, and when I woke up I got all prettied up. But I was going to meet the Gaians at twelve, the hour was running!!I call a friend Andrew who agrees to give me a ride and also lend me money, to pay for the remaining two days.Saturday: So I arrived late and I missed the official Gaia gathering, I was like "s**t", my friend Andrew borrowed me $45 so I was in. Shortly, I start finding people again. Well actually I spinned around once, went outside and found Ultimo, Mame and Fire.
So they gave me my masquerade thingy and it was all cool. I tend got to finally meet and hug disciple!!That was cool. I got something to eat, saw Duckie and her friends again, saw Zahmi's group again, then finally, finally!!I saw Michi then Angie!!All the mods from the Anime North guild had been united, so we took a couple of grand pics of the team!!
I met Kotori, Flailing Walrus, Mujitsu, Lightning and Kenshi, something(Japanese names confuse meh).
I met with bro George(JoergKehrl) and sis Jessica(misty_da_monster), I even convinced and surprised them!!So I just kinda leapt on them, then we talked for a bit, then we had to go our own ways.
So anyways we then walked around, people randomly disappearing, my pic randomly getting taken every now and then. Then we went to Subway, greatness. Some guys were like confused as to what I was doing, then I asked them if they wanted to "feel them", I think that made em lose their appetite. I also choked out one of Duckie's friends there.
So more or less, time to talk about the Masquerade!!
Well obviously as we are trying to get there we are flooded by pics, so fast forward a bit. Fire and Mame were getting ready so I was chilling with Lord Hornet and Ultimo, then Sunflower Goddess came over too.
There were a lot of good skits, well really I was waiting to film Mame and Fire and I was kinda nervous cause I suck at these things. They were number 25 and since the Scotsmen was messing up they came out like 30, all the numbers were outta order!!
Then finally I got a perfect spot and Fire and Mame will start, then some e-tard, puts his big a** head in my way!! 
So I have to move, then someone taps my shoulder to say my new position was in THEIR way. El colmo!!as they say in Spanish, but well I hope I did a good job. 
Anyways around this time me and Lord Hornet realized we lost our Timo!!Then I saw his afro puff from the door so I was like "Ok". Then Timo came and said we were going elsewhere, forget to do what specifically.
But then we met back with Fire and Mame, gave them congrats on a kickass job, then camera whore Fia was revealed!!Someone asked to take my pic, so I get like in the photoshoot spotlight with all these cameras taking my pic, I felt like such a model!!
Then of course came the infamous pic with all those half naked guys, talk about awkward.*shudders* all in the name of comedy I guess.
Well then we were I guess waiting for the dance to open or just hanging out there and some people were playing some game. So it struck me, I am like "let's play duck,duck goose!!"(yes I was the one with the brilliant idea), so it starts with only four of us roughly. So as we are playing, a bunch of our people start grabbing more and more recruits, eventually we yell out "duck duck goose!!"to everyone, this happened to be a legendary moment of AN 05.
People circled us, chanted, applauded, cheered,etc. We had about about forty people it would seem, playing and it was full contact no holds barred. There is so much to add to just that bit, the guy who got clotheslined and nearly died, that same guy getting stratled by me, me dropping Fire(sorry), everyone chanting "fanboi!!fanboi!!"at each one of Ultimo's interferences. Then came the infamous conga line, JediMegaman was ahead of the pack, I was like forth/fifth in line or something, eventually we were all sprinting in circles as if we won an olympic medal. Then the doors to the dance opened and everyone was jumping up and down and like all celebratingesque, well actually I ended up missing most of the dance. Ultimo was feeling ill short after, so Mame left with him and me and Fire waited. In the meanwhile a lot of random people would drop by, people I knew, people who wanted pictures, Duckie and Ashley came by, eventually even Desert Penguin came by!!DP(as I will refer to him from this point on) went on back and forth all through the night, he had lost his voice and there were technical difficulties for our Smash Bros. Melee idea. So after staying put for a bit, Fire and I walk around as we now called it, "picture whoring"(making sure your pic get's taken), actually there was this one guy in an afro who thought my crossplay was so brilliant he took two pics of me, one as feminine as possible, the other with me flexing as masculine as possible!!
Anyways Fire and I were worried we were like "what's taking Mame so long? "But we were chillin anyways. So then Mame shows up about an hour later, alls cool, we end up not really going to the dance and just staying put rather. Well we did go, they got an award, I was talking to some random people, then we headed outside. We must have been resting for at least an hour, until Mame and Fire had to go to le bed(only thing that bothered me was my foot falling asleep and Fire peeking!!). So I met up with DP, we wandered a bit, then we went to his room!!Then me and DP met up and wandered to his hotelroom!!
, I saw the nudist guy who I had taken a picture with previously, apparently he was one of DP friends. So we were talking for more than an hour about music and random stuff, then I was llike, "love to talk, but I'll need the sleep for tomorrow." So very nice DP shows me to ma room and I just sleep there.
Sunday: By the time I woke up only one of DPs friends were there, he was pretty casual about the fact that he was talking to a crossplayer.
So then I am at the TCC again, I meet up with disciple woot!!I went to Timmy's saw Duckie and friends, then I had to learn a lesson. I felt my face, and I was like hmm maybe a good shave would be nice. So I go to a cornerstore buy some cheap razors and shave at the Timmy restroom(ghetto I know). Never again!!The razors sliced half my face!!So I was like hmm, use my change of clothes and be a man, or be bloody Yuna? So I was like, I'll be a dude, I had my fun. Then I met up with Tricky, Timo-Timo, Mame et Fire-Fuego, who were going to see the improv thingy.
We went to the TCC, chilled with Ten Ten and company, gave the con one last whirl then headed out.
Me and Mame participated, everyone was like, "go Man Yuna!!" despite being in guy clothes, and now I am hoping for the 404's to post the pics up at their site. Actually I was able to talk to one of them, he congratulated me on a good job, we talked for a bit really, and now I talk to them on another forum!!
Leaving was a tad bit depressing, it had all ended, all the glory, all the fun. We ended on a cheerful note having pizza, the four horsemen of yaoi!!(the joke arose when Tricky suggested us to take a pic, Christian asked why the idea didn't occure to us when the gurlz were around to my reply:cause we are ghey!!but it was a joke)@Christian, thanks bro your a helluva guy!!
So then I went to Timo-Timo's place and played gamecube's Smash Bros. melee, I will never forget these three magnificent days, thank you to all who became a part of it!!
