5 Cyclone Squadron Annual Parade Review = Complete
Did I mention I'm a Sergeant?

Anyways, every Cadet squadron has a final, annual parade. This is usually attended by super important guests, and reviewed over as YOUR BEST FOR THE ENTIRE YEAR.

Anyways, we all arrived in the morning for practice....some of us are about to piss our pants in nervousness (I was one) in anticipation...but we were pretty good overall waiting it out. To help us out, he borrowed a band from Hamilton...732 Thunderband or something along those lines....

At any rate, One o'clock rolled around, it came to the crunch time. What we were training for in the past four months was coming to bear. The most scrutinizing parade of our Cadet Career so far....

...and I was biting my teeth in sheer fear I was going to screw up. And the other two 2ICs were looking up to me on what to do.

Goddamn Finals are scary.

However, knowing what I had to do, I swallowed my fear in a massive gulp and decided that if others are looking to me for guidance, there's got to be something I can do right. And then we're called in. We wheel into the Russell Arena in force, with me at the head of my flight as the Second in Command. Our heads held up in pride, and drill that would make some regular force members look like n00bs.

The Senior cadets (As in, more senior than me) fall in place. Commanders take their positions at the head of the flight, and us Seconds march to the back. The flags fall in, and the inspection rolls around.

And we wait.

And we wait.

Then we wait some more, while the reviewing people inspect us, ask a few questions here and there, and make the rest of us wait a good wait. Then, our stance is broken once more, as we snap to Attention, and turn for a march past. For you people not familiar with military lingo, a March Past is simply that, a march past the reviewing officer.

After the march past, all of the parading cadets were led out, so that the demonstrations (Both bands, and our Drill Team) would have plenty of room to operate. Us nine from 5 Cyclone's band were busy running around and getting our instruments together. To sum it up, our little 'freestyle' demonstration was great for the 8 practices we had. Then we were owned by the 732 thunderband. Then our Drill shows up to save the day...from...uhh...I dunno.

Award time, because every one loves award time. Especially when you thought you had no hope in hell in getting something, and walk out with top level three. Or was that just me?

And to top it all off...I'm headed for Greenwood, Nova Scotia to go learn how to teach. Yummy.
