[META PRP] Dodged THAT Bullet [Deimos + Scorpa]

He'd just been curious about who else was around- specifically on the military side of things. He'd almost signed up for it, after all. The thought had been there - if I conscript, I'll probably get better access to things - but he'd stopped himself from actually signing the forms. That would obligate him to take stances he did not feel comfortable taking. And effectively sign over whatever freedoms he currently had.

But that didn't mean his curiosity was as easily wrangled under control. Once things had quieted down a little in the volunteer area, he'd slipped outside to go sneak a peek - as much as he could - at the military recruits area. The chances of him seeing anyone he knew were slim, it wasn't like he had a lot of friends, but it was still good to see who he'd maybe?? be working with.

Absorbed in his "spying," he'd mostly tuned out the hallway he was in since no one seemed to be using it. If he angled himself juuuust right he got a glimpse at the entrance to the area that most of the military trolls seemed to be coming and going from.

Aaaaannd pounce!

A blur of hair whizzed down as a troll collided with the tealblood, trapping him up against the wall.

"What do you think you're doing-" The yellowblood boomed until she got a good look at her captive's face. Hey wait, wasn't this that guy from Bloodfest? She'd been heading towards Lorata's office when she'd spotted a volunteer wandering around and decided to do something about it. She hadn't expected it to turn out to be Deimos. Welp... she was bored and there wasn't much to do at the moment so maybe she'd best have a little fun with him!

"You're late! This is unacceptable!" The girl grabbed his wrist and began to drag him down the hall. Where she was taking him, she did not let on. Her heels clacked loudly on the floor, with her official uniform shoes back under her desk at the office. She'd change back once things were really getting started, right now they were still in the preparation stages.

"Hurry up, sleepyhead!"

One moment he was peering into the room before him, the next he was being slammed back against the wall as a loud voice demanded to know what he was doing. Bewildered and taken off guard, he did little but stiffen up and stare wide-eyed at the troll that had pinned him. Oh no. Not... not... what was her name... Discorp? That was her stage name, anyway. "Wait--" He started to protest as she grabbed his wrist and began pulling him down the hall after her.

Where was she taking him? And what was he late for, exactly? He tried in vain to tug his wrist away (wow she was strong), still stumbling after her. "You have the wrong troll, let me go."

"Nuh uh! We're already running late!" Scorpa cut off his protests as she dragged him behind her. Purposefully walking fast so he'd have to struggle to keep up, she noted that he was still very light weight. Perfect!

They rounded a corner and she slowed down to open a door. Pushing Deimos inside in front of her, she blocked his escape and smiled.

"We received a complaint that this room could use some work!" She'd brought him to one of the bathrooms located near the offices. Someone had left a mess of (unused) toilet paper thrown around the room. Someone had also left one of the sinks running, creating a large puddle of water. While the place wasn't disgustingly dirty it was still kind of gross. Nudging a cleaning cart towards him, Scorpa gave Deimos a smile.

"Come on now! Time to serve Alternia!" The yellowblood all but giggled as she picked up a feather duster, the easiest of tasks and started dusting the door. At any moves to leave, she nudged the cart to block his path.

Eventually he gave up- there wasn't an escape that wasn't going to cause a scene and he wanted to make sure he didn't get kicked out- so.... he'd just have to accept his fate. Until his fate turned out to be cleaning a bathroom. He scanned the mess and made a face, then looked back to Scorpa. "Seriously. You don't have janitorial drones for this?" Now that they weren't moving, he noticed the uniform. Greaaaaaat. She was an officer. He doubly had no reason to disobey without risk of getting removed from the premises.

Sighing, he stomped (gently) over to the sink and then shut the water off, then trudged back over to find a mop. "Don't you have better things to do? Or are you actin' out 'cause I wandered over here." If the last part was a question it certainly didn't sound like one.

"We do." Scorpa grinned at his first question. She watched his expression with glee. It was so fun to see him groan and grumble. She needed an eyeroll to complete the set.

"But as a volunteer you don't have better things to do. So might as well put you to work!" Scorpa made no attempt to hide her disapproval of his lack of uniform. Deimos had been such a promising cadet back at their booth during Bloodfest. Had it all been for nothing? She would turn him around and put him on the right path. After a little teasing, of course! First things first was to show him a little discipline and give him a task to do.

"You do raise a good point though." The yellowblood stepped closer and tilted Deimos's chin up to look at her.

"What were you doing over here?"

Whoops, he shouldn't have said that. He jerked his head away, shooting her a withering look as he stepped back a few paces. "Don't touch me. Curiosity- what's it matter?" Deimos huffed as he leaned over to grab the mop he'd been after. An idea struck him as soon as his hand touched the handle... He grabbed it, then pointedly smacked it down onto the slightly flooded floor near Scorpa's feet. A few splatters likely made it onto her precious uniform pants. Oops!

"I could have stuff to do, maybe I was just between tasks." He pulled the mop back toward him slowly, letting the fibers soak up the water until it was fully saturated. Gross. So gross. And also useful. "Are you so free you got time to mess with volunteers? Seems like someone might be slackin'." He quirked one brow, mouth twisting into a sort of smirk. This was dangerous territory but he just couldn't help himself. Maybe he'd gotten it into his head that teasing Austri was fun, so perhaps the others would be fun to tease as well. Besides, as long as he wasn't physically trying to get out of the task at hand, she probably wouldn't have much to stand on if she complained... What lieutenant couldn't handle a bit of snark from a volunteer?
