[PRP] School Project [Kier x Lute]

* Ahh... so you have found it. The legendary band room. This strange location always moves within the school one of the seven legendary rooms in Amityville. Students who find the special door, emblazoned with a very sad looking smashed music note, will open it to reveal inside a vertiable army of Haunted Instruments! They are so haunted in fact, they have been playing since the creation of the school, just playing the same note over and over again. Legend has it that these very same instruments were sealed into the room because they were simply too powerful, no single creature ever deserved to have such music stuck in their head longer than a few days at a time!

The week was a whirlwind as Lute tried to play catch up on some homework. Prom and getting ready for other things like visiting home had set her back. Way back on a project that was due and even to the point that she had her first overdue library book. Where had the time gone?

Her project about the band room was coming up a bust so far, mostly because it was so hard to find the room! But that was the fun in it, Lute was roaming the halls of the school with a bright pink backpack, cloud pencil behind ear, and a clipboard in her hands. Determined to spend the whole day looking for the elusive band room. As she went a couple text were sent out to friend just in case they had spotted the door to the room she was looking for.

<Kier: Hey! Sorry to be just now texting you and um sorry its kind of about school stuff .///.; But if you happen to see a door with a smashed music note on it will you let me know? I'm doing a school project about the band room and I've never actually been..>

She hit send and felt her face flush, she really had meant to get back to Kier sooner but things kept getting in the way. At least now she had messaged! Tucking her phone away in a pocket she glanced around to the doors close by, hoping that the information she had about the door was accurate. Surely a teacher wouldn't steer her wrong? But then again this was amity and some of the teachers had ...well, strange ways to teach lessons.

Around the corner Lute went her hooves giving off the sound of heels as she made her way past the cafeteria of the school. Surely the band room wouldn't appear close to the dorms, she had to wonder though mostly since she was running out of places to check. There was only a few more halls of the school left before she would have to branch out closer towards the dorm areas.

The black ghost cat was sprawled out across a window bench that not only had been open to let the fresh air fill the halls but the warm feeling of the light outside. It was the most perfect napping spot Kier had been able to find in the school, so when her phone buzzed a little too close to her ear it was a struggle to feel any need to answer it. Picking it up she blinked at it slowly, the gold eyes trying to decipher the little lettering into something meaningful to her groggy mind.

Lute…

A flush slowly started to spread along Kier’s face as a little grin perked along the edges of her lips, she had hoped that the ghoul would be interested in keeping touch after going on a date at prom but so far she hadn’t heard from her until now. Even though Lute had messaged her about some sort of school project, and Kier rarely did her homework already, the cat scrambled to send a quick reply back.



Kier sent it the message and then stared at for a few minutes, her tail slowly swaying back and forth as she bit at her lower lip.



She pressed enter again and hoped that she hadn’t sound entirely desperate in trying to spend a little more time with the ghoul. “I’m such a dork….” Kier mumbled to herself as she flopped across the window bench again, not even the warm light was making the nerves go away. What if Lute said no? What if she had someone helping her already? Even worse what if Kier couldn’t help at all? Pressing her face into the cushion she gave a pitiful moan into the fabric.

Just past the cafeteria her phone started to play a tinkling little chime and vibrate in pocket. Oh that was fast! Lute's face started to glow in hopes that someone she had messaged knew of the room! A quick move towards a window area in the hall and she shuffled all of her stuff to one hand so the other could pull up her phone.

Excitement plastered all over face when the screen read Kier. The black ghost cat she had went to prom with had responded, oh, and she responded again. Lute giggled at the double message and slowly opened them to read. Ahh all those little faces were adorable, Lute made a mental note after becoming distracted for a couple seconds, she would have Kier teach her those later!

She couldn't help but be a touch disappointed with the rest of the message, well most of it, the offer for help was very much a mood lifter though. Lute smiled softly to herself before she realized how goofy she might look standing in the hall and just smiling down to the phone. When she did realize she had been doing this for some time the ghoul snapped out of it and typed out a fast reply.



Lute scanned the message finger hovering over the send button for a few moments as she analyzed it. Was it to long? Was it weird?! Ugg! It was fine, she was sure it was fine, but she read it again anyways before sending. After it was sent Lute inhaled deeply, holding the air in her cheeks in frustration at herself before moving towards the designated meeting place.

Before she got all the way there though another message was sent,



There now everything in Kiers messages had been addressed, phew, she felt much better now.

Her face was still face down in the fabric when the phone buzzed again, completely unaware at the few concerned looks and whispers other students were giving her while they passed by. Scrambling to her knees Kier sat up with a look of excitement and some sort of half fear look on her face while staring at the name Lute for a few minutes and again when another message popped up from her.

Taking a deep breath she finally clicked on the first message, reading it over as relief washed over her soon replaced by a pink tinge on her cheeks while she kept re-reading over the part of her loving to hang out with her.

Would love to hang out!

Getting to her feet Kier did a little dance, something that looked like a mix of shuffling feet and some sort of air guitar solo of happiness earning even more strange looks from other students. It wasn’t until one got a little too close that with a look on their face that Kier went red and sat down to return a message.

She grabbed her things up not wanting to waste any more time or show up super late for their meeting because she was dawdling too long. Throwing the bag over her shoulder she remembered the second text message.

Hitting send Kier started off with a brisk walk, almost breaking out into a run in the hallway while a teacher gave her a dark glare to get her to slow down. It didn’t take her long to reach the monster dorms, a little out of breath and feet aching from running in heeled boots but she made it there and started to look for the familiar ghoul.

Lute was there when Kier arrived, a hand covering her mouth to hide a tiny giggle as the ghoul came sprinting up. It was fantastic enthusiasm, and super cute! Soft pink hair bounced as Lute pushed up from her sitting position against the wall. Under her free hand was the clipboard, attached to the top of it was the over-sized cloud pen.

"Hey you..." She called sheepishly, a wave following as she approached the other. "You got here so fast, I'm really impressed, you must be part ghost cheetah.~" Lute couldn't help but attempt a tease, though she wasn't as good at things like that so as soon as it left lips the ghoul was flushing a pink that rivaled the color of her hair.
