The wide sprawling pathways of this entertainment complex are a little congested tonight, as trolls stop and gather around the bright, bouncing, glittery and attention grabbing Superstar Authority booth. The lights dancing out of the smooth chitin plated sides of the structure reflect off the wide domed window that it's set in front of, drawing even the most glitter-jaded of pedestrians as they pass by. The aggressively catchy tune of the Superstar Authority theme song blasts out loudly in an attempt to drown the music played by the complex's own speakers, and trolls near the booth have to shout to be heard. With opened and unopened boxes of cheap but attractive free merchandise stacked behind a few sharp eyed security drones, even trolls uninterested in the whole event are stopping by to try and grab something for no cost. However, most at least stop to try and have a few seconds of chatter with the center of attention, the troll in the center of the booth.

A few trolls in Superstar Authority branded clothing circle the crowd, passing pre-signed swag out to the crowd.

A certain space themed captures your attention. Stars, galaxies and planetary objects decorated the booth as well as Astra's name hanging on the banner. The young sea dweller offers a smile to whoever approaches her.

"Come for a chance to meet me! I'm sure we'll have a good time. "

Competitors & Sponsors
You can improve the crowd's like for you and your chances of making a big splash (ie winning) by answering requests from civilians. While competitors should be ideally taking as many requests as they can handle, sponsors can also help ease the workload by fielding care of requests that they can logically take care of (ie request for custom signing; can rp 'passing the request along'. request for a photo; 'i'm better to look at, take a photo with me instead!'). Once a competitor or sponsor has replied to a request it can be considered complete, no more posts are necessary from a game mechanics pov (though further roleplay is fine if desired).

Oisier shuffled through their Superstar Authority informational pamphlets. They brought the map of the plaza to the top of the pile and examined it closely. From their current location, the next closest booth would be...

Oisier looked up towards the nearby booth. Well that made things easy. They cross referenced the label on the map with the informative blurbs regarding the local contestants. This one was appropriately named "Astra." Oisier liked the colors of the decor. "Reisio. Let us visit this booth next."

Oisier had placed their dancing duckie in Reisio's backpack where it continued to gyrate. With their freed hand holding Reisio's, they gently pulled their sibling over to the star-speckled booth.

The contestant manning the counter was a seadweller, which gave Oisier some pause. They had no experience interacting with someone of that high class, but their dull expression betrayed little discomfort. They looked over the treasures to be had, and squeezed Reisio's hand softly.

"...The crystals are lovely, Reisio," they commented quietly.

“Ooh.” Reisio’s eye widened as they looked up at the booth. “This does indeed pertain to our interests.”

They shuffled, hand-in-hand with Oisier with both flatworm lusii following behind them like lacey trains. A quick bow was given to the seadweller. Oisier looked discerningly into the mass of hair covering her eyes. How could she see like that? They and their twin always maintained a bob perfect for their line of sight.

“You are right.” Reisio responded before they even looked over at the crystals, and nodded in agreement. Their own gaze drifted to a telescope. “Ooh. Science. Astronomy. Is this a specialized telescope? What are the specifications?”

Polair had been busy, not too busy for her taste but... At least she was off and about, carrying around her responsibilities to manage her booth and keeping her mind of things. Like being on TV... participating on something she really didn't belong there.

But, if it kept Claud happy, it kept her happy and, well, alive. So the highblood tried her best to make this a pleasant experience. Upon hearing Reisio's questions, the tall seadweller immediately turned around and cocked her head slightly to the side. It was nice to hear they seemed interested on the telescope. She just had way too many spares laying around. Behind bangs she blinked and tried to flash a smile as she bent down a bit.

"I'm afraid it's not as specialized as a "660x" magnification telescope, which let me tell you such things are a fraud but..." She said. "This is specially made for all the young skywatchers out there. If you ever want to watch a magnificent view, always rely on a telescope with a magnification of 50 and below." They wanted to know about its specifications and that made her aquatic bloodpusher flutter with delight. "Well this--" She took a quick moment to use her bracelets to verify were they were and where her booth was before taking one of her telescopes and addressing Reisio once more. Oh so there were two of them, ok, she could handle it right? If she could handle algorithms, Polair could handle anything.

"This is a compact 70 millimetre refractor telescope optimized for portability and convenience." Polair smiled and motioned the child to take the device from her hands. "It includes a 20 millimetre eyepiece for 20 times its original magnification and a 2.5 degree field of view, with plenty of crisp detail when searching for that splendid view, or simply keeping your eye on a fine specimen. It has a focal length of 400 milimetre and a focal ratio of f/5.7. I hope that answers your current set of questions."
