Black Minx frolicked in the snow in the meadow, kicking it up with her hooves and sending it flying all directions as she galloped back and forth, throwing her head high and enjoying the wind in her mane. How she loved to run.
The mare was a hardy one, used to the harsh elements. Her grandfather Shetan's voice rang through her mind, his words about being a strong, confident mare when she grew up, echoing throughout her thoughts. But in reality, as hardy and tough as she was, she just wanted someone to have fun with. Being serious all the time was no fun.
She stopped a moment and shook herself off, before dropping to the snow and rolling with 4 legs flailing in the air. What a sight she was for anyone who may come upon her in the small meadow.

Further he trudged, kicking up small hunks of snow for the spirited wolf to chase after. He had to shake his head at her, seemed that today he had got up on the wrong side of the moss. In truth his was just ready for the seasons to change and things to warm up, the first two turns of the moon were great and all. But things had to change, the food stores were getting lower and he didn't want to eat his family out of everything.
"Will you ever be serious and help me find something to eat?" he asked to wolf as she stopped to scratch behind an ear.
"There was plenty back at home. You know that, why go hunting for it?" was the reply as she scratched.
"Because I don't want to eat everything out from under the rest of them. This winter has been hard on everyone." He put simply as he lopped over a bush and into the open.
It was a meadow, a sizable one at that. Stopping a moment to let his eyes adjust to the light against what snow was left. The sounds of another reached his tuft ears making him look around. Someone was close, someone who was having fun in what was left of the winter. Taking a small step backwards, he turned towards a dark colored mare who was rolling in the snow.
Lovely...
He wasn't sure if the comment to himself was to be in any kind of manner. He was just not going to be deturred from his task at hand... hoof.. Whatever. Flicking his white and ice colored tail, he moved to walk through the meadow, to pass close to the mare. The wolf on the other hand dashed over and flopped on her own back to join the mare in rolling in the snow. Her paws reaching for the skies over head, her head laying back to howl in enjoyment of the time.
"Soyala, really?" Vale stopped and stared at the wolf who seemed to blush under her fur. "Don't scare a person." Her howl had made him jump, even as much as he had heard it in the past months.

Minx hadn't heard the newcomers enter the meadow. She was too busy having fun rolling in the snow, plus it felt really nice on her back! It was only when the fluffy looking wolf plopped next to her rolling in the snow, letting out quite the little howl of what seemed to be enjoyment, and then the strange, deep voice she heard did she notice, she had company......
Rolling over onto her side, she could not help but giggle at the small wolf, who seemed to be purely enjoying rolling on her back in the snow. The howl had not bothered or scared her. She was quite used to listening to the wolves howl in the forest. She looked from the playing wolf to the strange white and blue icy looking stallion in front of her. "Awwe come on, be nice. Your friend here has the right idea!Have some fun and enjoy the snow." She flashed him a grin before regaining her feet, to get a better look at the stranger. Of course it was in this moment she could not resist shaking herself off of the snow covering her black coat, flinging it all over the stallion she had just met.
Of course this was merely an accident and not intentional, but she could not help but laugh at him. "Oops sorry" She said with a mischievous twinkle in her big, brown eyes. Giving a quick stretch, she decided it was time for a drink. "The water is cold and refreshing if you're thirsty". . She started walking, and then stopped and turned for a moment "Oh and there is some nice fresh, green sprouts if you're hungry too" She smiled at them both before turning back and trotting towards the pond.

Vale watched the two as the mare didn't seem the bit frightened by his companion's arrival. Or the howl that came from her muzzle, well that was good at least. Most would have jumped and skittered a distance, then again, he hadn't seen too many outside his own. Shaking his own coat, with the presence of the cold snow around him. He did enjoy the snow, when it was falling the first few months of the season, but now it was just time for green to return.
"I did enjoy it. When the seasons changed to winter. Its coming Spring and I'm awaiting for the greens to return." He said simply as he watched the two, the mare moving closer to him to shake the snow off her own coat and plaster it to his own.
Eyes squinting at the mare, had that been a challenge from her? He couldn't exactly tell, with how she and his own wolf friend had been acting. He wasn't ti sure if her 'sorry' was really meant. Ears falling back a little, he sidestepped a little as she was walking away. Using his muzzle he nudged at a small pile of snow, some that was sticky enough to be made into a ball. When she turned around again, he straightened up a little as she mentioned the pond.
"That sounds lovely!" He called in her direction before he nudged at the pile again. With the distance between them, he wasn't sure if he could strike that far. It was well worth the chance. Turning he kicked at the pile of snow, aiming to cover the mare with snow once more. When he turned to follow behind, he put on the image that he did nothing, even though the wolf was giggling sheepishly her own pelt still speckled with snow.

Minx smiled to herself as the stallion followed after her. It was nice to have some company. She hadn't really seen anyone but her family in a while and she was tired of her grandfather's stern talkling about being a tough, wild mare. Sure she was tough but she wanted to have fun too! He was always so serious. "Oh it is quite lovely!" She called behind her as she continued to trot towards the pond. "The greens here are like nothing you've ever eatten before. " It was true too. Not many knew about her secret little meadow in the middle of the forest. The green grass and sprouts were sweet and delicious, untouched by the rest of the world.
It was at that moment, a sudden rain of snow splashed all around her, covering her black coat. She was a sight to see, snow melting and dripping all over her warm body. She was literally soaked. She looked at the stallion, who seemed to act as if he knew nothing. She knew it could not have been his wolf companion, much too small to kick up THAT much snow. The way the little wolf giggled suggested it had been him. So he wanted to play eh? She stared at him for a moment, before grinning with a little mischievous twinkle in her brown eyes. She waited til he was a bit closer, and then she darted about in the snow, kicking it up with her front hooves at him, laughing and giggling as she did.
