Not sure what is different about those particular items. They look like SD dolls and regular gaia items but I agree with Zelk. Recoloring sounds neat.

The novelty is in that they are your items, I guess. You have a say in the colouring/making process, you get your username tagged in them, etc. You also get 10 copies that you can sell for hella lots of gold.
