He's fond of flirting, and doesn't mine passing away the time that way. However, when things start to become intimate or serious, he needs to move away. He knows what happens to those he's physically close to. Instead of a family, it's a grave. And he won't let that happen again. He loves flowers, gardening and flying--despite his outward appearance of calm he's in turmoil inside, feeling that because he got Charlotte pregnant it is his fault that she died. The Continuing Story...
After she died, he was brokenhearted and alone. After some time, he accepted that intimacy caused pregnancy and pregnancy caused problems. He had always wanted children and a mate, but he gave up hopes of every being able to have that. He believes the whole ordeal to be his fault since he got her pregnant.
Now he is resigned to mindless flirting to console his loneliness, until Olivia came along... (At this point, he's on the verge of meeting her after finally realizing he doesn't have to be isolated all the time). |

Meaning of (name): Means "cheerful" Aliases: Illy, Lair Date Found: April 2, 2011 Found: Family Event | xXxDate of Maxing: May 1, 2012 Temper: Knightly Breed: Kelpie (ICly Kelpie/Unicorn) Breed Appearance: Kelpie Height: 17 hands Personality: He's knightly, which of course means he's quite chivalrous. He's always very honourable or at least tries to be. He's patient and kind, something that fatherhood had mellowed out even more. He's fiercely protective and works hard to make sure that his family is grounded and well-rounded (so they don't end up afraid of everything like his sister or decadent like his brother). Quirks/Character Traits: ✶ Loves to spar and especially loves knightly legends/lore ✶ Despises vain soquili ✶ Loves the night sky and tells his children of it often. Backstory: Born to a Kelpie and a Unicorn. From the moment of his birth, he had the intense desire to travel and go on great adventures. However, he lacked the training, so he went on an adventure to find someone to train him. Being a kelpie thought provided a few problems, namely with his skin drying out. He gets along well with both of his siblings, though he's sad that his brother is so decadent and that his sister is afraid to go on adventures with them very often. He hears two voices, Than and Lux who torment him throughout moments of his life. With hard work, he believes he can overcome the voices and silence them forever. An eater of flesh and drinker of blood, Lucian has never struggled with these decisions as Karloff has. He completely accepts who he is. At times, he can seem to be dark and brooding but typically it's only because he's lost in thought or fighting with Than and Lux. Compassionate and kind, he doesn't have it in his heart to hurt anyone--at least not willingly. Throughout childhood, they were only thought to be imaginary friends. But as the cravings for blood and flesh became stronger, and the voices more pronounced, it was realized that he had inherited some of his mother's bloody tendencies. He learned to control them--Karloff's presence was usually enough. But over time, he learned to suppress them for the most part.

The Continuing Story...
Born to half-crazed mother and father that likes to carve up victims rather than perform surgery, Lucian's basket was given up to a complete and total stranger--Karloff. Lucian doesn't know the full details of how he was given to Karloff.
Lucian from the very moment of memory and hearing heard two very prominent voices--Than and Lux. Than always looked on the darker side of things, while Lux was more sympathetic but equally as annoying. They were his only friends in the darkness of his basket.
When he came out of his basket, he was raised by Karloff and Ailbhe who both love him dearly. They both adapted to his needs. After Karloff realized that Lucian was missing something essential from his diet, he taught Lucian how to hunt and drink blood like him. However it was not enough, and Karloff had to teach him how to hunt for flesh (not hurting the spirit touched).
Karloff raised him to overcome his monsters and deal with them. Lucian realized that around Karloff and Ailbhe the voices fell silent. As he gets older, the voices come more under control eventually seeming to disappear entirely.
Lucian struck off on his own and met the love of his life Anaon Nox. However, the fates in a cruel trick, prevented them from meeting again at the appointed time--missing each other by a day. Each believes the other one to have given up or to have died.
Distraught, Lucian goes on a journey and runs into Ves'tacha. Over time, they fall for each other and go into the tunnel of love. Together, they raised two children but were unable to stay together to make it work.
Lucian has yet to meet his real family. |
