Kaipo had finished his morning routine making sure all the shrines were in good order. Kaipo took pride in his work he loved being partially responsible for the happiness of their gods, it made him feel important.

It was apart of his routine to do his morning duties making sure the water was clean and the fish were happy then to wonder out towards the border. Sometimes Kaipo wondered how his mom and other siblings were doing out in the rogue lands. Only one of his litter mates joined the pack, that left his mom and five litter mates living away from them. Not to mention Kaipo's older sister, Konane. He knew that he had other older siblings but he had never met any of them other than Konane, he hoped where ever they were they were happy. He settled in his favourite spot on the border and enjoyed the sun hitting his bright pelt.

Hajari had been wandering for a while. Ever since his pack had disbanded he had been on his own and had separated from the only family he had known. Any friends he had made he had also separated from. Wandering in the rogue lands hadn't given him any direction in which he should go and hadn't led him to any of his other family.

He sighed as he continued to walk. These days were filled with meandering around and killing what he could to survive. The sun was high today which made it quite warm, however it didn't bother him as much today as he noticed that he was getting closer to more green vegetation, different than that of the rogue lands. Sniffing the air he could also tell that water was close too.

He decided to go in.

Movement caught Kaipo's eyes and he straightened himself up. He wasn't a guard for the pack but since he was here he figured he would fill. As he watched the figure come into sight his stomach did a flip flop. The wild dog had the same colouring as his sister. "Konane?" he called out surprised at first to see his sister. He quickly swallowed his excitement when he realized the wild dog coming his way was actually a male.

He stayed watching the other wild dog move in, he wasn't sure how he would go about greeting the other male now that he had embarrassingly called out his sisters name. He managed to keep a smile on his face though, he didn't want the other wild dog to be scared away.

Hajari noticed the other wild dog get up and he braced himself just in case. While there were some prides and packs that welcomed rogues into their lands, there were also others that would not hesitate to attack. Hajari waited for the other dog to either move to attack or to say something and that was when he heard his sister's name being called. Relaxing a bit, Hajari wondered how this wild dog knew of his sister.

He noticed the other dog smiling, so clearly he was not in danger of being attacked and relaxed fully, once again wandering closer, this time heading in the other dog's direction. He smiled a bit as he asked, "Konane is my sister. How do you know her?"

As the other wild dog moved in Kaipo relaxed more and more. This dog seemed hesitant and not as if he was going to attack. When he finally saw the wild dog up close he was again blown away to the similarities with his sister, however there were differences too.

When the grey male finally said that Konane was his sister Kaipo's jaw dropped. "She is my sister." she said standing and circling this new male. It was clear that both this male and Konane got their appearances from their father as Kaipo and Konane's mother was a brilliant purple colour with blue accents like his. He couldn't believe with all the wild dogs out their he Kaipo had found one of his half siblings simply by sitting on the boarders of his pride.

Hajari was surprised to hear the other dog's response. He had other siblings he didn't even know about? Now he really wondered what his parents had been up to. He couldn't hide his surprise from the other dog. He looked at the other while the stranger circled him, probably checking to see if they looked alike at all.

"Well..." Hajari started when he finally thought of what to say again, "that is surprising. I didn't know I had other siblings out there, ones that were not in our old pack. I am Hajari. I'm currently a wandering rogue." He sniffed the other dog to familiarize himself with the other's scent.

Kaipo laughed a little at his own rudeness. "I am sorry" he said taking a seat back in front of his new found brother. "My name is Kaipo I live here in Watembezi’mto, I am a shrine keeper." He told the other proudly.

"I don't think anyone other than Konane knows we exist. We don't have the same father, you and Konane must look an awful lot like your dad." Kaipo observed. "I am a good mix of my mom and dad. They were both purple. my blue comes from mom and my heart marking from dad." Kaipo told the stranger although he hadn't asked at all.

"You are a rogue? Do you know where the rest of your litter is?" Kaipo knew his mom had often spoken of her other children she wanted to know if they were all doing well. She respected they were adults and had their own lives but she was a worrying mother and just wanted to know everyone was doing well and was happy.

Hajari smiled and nodded his head. "It's good to meet you then brother, even if we do not share the same father." Hajari wasn't surprised that he had siblings that were not all blood related, but it was interesting nonetheless.

"Unfortunately, I don't know where the rest of us are. Once the pride disbanded, we went our separate ways and I have been wandering around ever since." He replied, shaking his head a little. "I have not been able to find any of the others."

Hajari looked back at his brother. "So this is Watembezi'mto and you are a shrine keeper? Interesting. What exactly is the Watembezi'mto? And what exactly does a shrine keeper like you do?"

The blue wild dog beamed excitement playing all over his face. "Watembezi'mto is a peaceful place, we are all about nature. As a shrine keeper I maintain the main shrines, ensuring the water is fresh and the fish are cleansed. If I were to fail at my job the health for the pack would diminish and our gods and goddesses might become unhappy with us." he explained.

"Why don't you come stay with out for awhile. You can meet Lukav he is a brother from my litter. He lives here too, I know that he would love to meet you. While you visit with us you can learn more about the pack." Kaipo's excitement had grown as they spoke he know really hoped that his brother would want to stay a little while with them.

Hajari listened to his brother and the explanation of the pack. So...gods and goddesses huh? Intriguing. There were all sorts of packs and prides out there and it was curious how different they were to each other, though their own experiences and leaders probably made the difference.

Apparently Kaipo and another brother had decided that this was the right pack for them, even going so far as to be the instruments of the gods and goddesses they worshipped, or at least Kaipo was. Hajari wasn't sure about "Lukav".

"If they'll let me, I would love to stay and meet another brother of mine." Hajari replied, nodding his head in agreement, after Kaipo's explanation and invitation.

"You will be welcome in, not to worry. I will escort you." Kaipo said with a smile. The pack was a friendly one he knew that his brother would be allowed to stay not a problem.

"Come on this way. Lukav will be excited to meet you too." the blue male got to his feet and began to walk back into the pack lands. It was good timing really he should check on the shrines again and make sure everything was in order.

"Thank you very much then." Hajari replied. If his brother was willing to let him in, this clearly wasn't an aggressive pack, so he was more than willing to go with Kaipo.

Hajari nodded and followed his brother into the land.
