[ORP] The Lost Son (Dice Game)

Jax searched on his own for the missing lion cub. There was some pretty rough terrain and if the cub wasn’t careful, it could get hurt. He did some ease dropping and found out it was a male cub that had gone missing. He remembered being adventurous when he was young. His mother would always say “boys will be boys” but that somehow involved a Hyena getting hurt or killed. “Okay kid…. Where are you… You’ll get hurt out here on your own…” Jax said to himself as he thought about his past.

Anan kept relatively quiet as he searched, although he made little effort to mask the sounds of his passage. He would be a stranger to this cub, and the odds of being trusted were low. He dimly remembered being wary of all the unfamiliar faces during the Jini-msemi's stay in Ela lands.

Jax was starting to think that the cub was a lost cause. He thought about leaving. If the cub wasn’t to be found, then he could be blamed for his disappearance. Jax didn’t want that. “Hey kid, this isn’t funny anymore. You need to go home!”

Talitha glanced around. No one seemed to be having much luck finding the cub. She stayed focused though. The harder they looked the sooner they would find the cub. It would relieve a lot of stress off the group, especially Hoaka and the rest of the family. She started looking at the ground, hoping to see some some sort of trail left by the cub. So far she saw nothing.

Still nothing and from what he could hear from the lions, they hadn’t found anything either. This was becoming rather tiresome for the Hyena. He decided to go further into the woods. Maybe the cub had wondered so far that he couldn’t hear his family calling him.

Anan began looking in bushes, under trees, checking shadows...anywhere a cub might hide or be hidden. He didn't want to say it out loud, but he was worried.

Talitha continued the search, occasionally checking back at the others. Her focus went back to the ground, seeing if she could distinguish the cub's prints from the others. She bent her head down and sniffed it, just in case the cub left any sent. Nothing particularly helpful, she thought. She decided it would be better to search somewhere else.

The search was carrying on all around Hoaka he had seen other rogues and pride members come along and join the search. He was flattered and honoured by all those who came out to help search for his son although also mildly embarrassed that this many others were seeing him fail as a parent. Pausing for a moment he listened and could swear her heard the mewing of a young lion. His heart did a flutter as he tried to listen closer to his surroundings. Satisfied that he had heard his son he straightened out and called out to the search party "This way everyone he is over here somewhere." He did't wait to see if others were coming to join him in this area he knew they would be.

Jax looked up when the purple lion said he heard something. Maybe the cub was still alive after all.  

[Excited Apathy]

Anan perked up at the call, beginning to track in that direction. He stayed spread out from the others, hoping to cover a maximum of ground so that the lost cub would be found quickly now that they had a lead.

Jax stayed far from the group. He would only stay until the cub was found and then move on. He could only imagine how worried the parents were.

Appalled, absolutely without a doubt beside herself at this point. Sabia was with the other cubs, others had offered to watch them, but she likely wouldn't take take up that offer for quite some time. This traumatic experience may even lose her her rank. The side effects of this were stifling.

She then heard a cry, almost mistaking it for one of joy, but she nearly rejoiced to quickly as she spotted a few searchers changing their course. Perhaps they had come closer? One could only hope. By this point in time Blasaz had returned, determined to keep the lioness company.

"Blasaz; you had no luck from above?"

She dared carrying a tone, one she'd normally have kept to herself. Up until this point she had begun to maintain her attitudes, her saucy remarks and more. The side of her that hadn't been a part of Intaba, but the experience in and of itself was beginning to bring out the lioness that had grown accustomed berating and more during her stay in another pride. By the time she had grown a back bone she was already on her way out the door with Hoaka.

Blasaz didn't shrink away from her companion, rather she took Muhuri in her paws and played with her gently. "There isn't much else I can do, the forest gets to dense. That cub could be anywhere." She remarked truthfully. "He will be found, give the others time."

Sabia`nafsi shrunk and eyeballed the other balls of fur running around with a small, uncertain smile.

Talitha started walking toward Hoaka to see if there were any new clues of where the cub had gone. While she walked, she made sure to keep an eye out for the cub. Looking around, she saw no one was having much luck. Soon, she thought.

Jax wondered if the lion was hearing things. He didn’t see anything, nor did he smell anything. “Maybe it’s time for me to go… this is becoming harder than it should be…”

Hoaka let out a deep breath. They had to be getting closer now. He began to worry about Sabia back home, she must be frantic knowing that one of her babies was out there. He was sure that she wanted to be out looking but also too afraid to leave the others to look for their one son.

Taking a deep breath he began to search harder his nose practically dragging on the ground trying to pick up the scent of his son. Finally his nose picked up the scent he was looking for

"Come on this way everyone." he called out.

Hoaka has uncovered another clue. As such a third number is being added to the list of available rolls. From this post on roll a 50, 11 or whatever this roll is to win. I want to get this rp done as quickly as possible.
