Boredom taunted the mare's mind, the slit that formed her pupil constricting in contempt at the world around her. It had been days since she'd encountered another soul, and she was damn sick of being alone. Sick of being left to her own devices. Sick of having no one to play with. Sick of trodding her hooves on the same damn piece of ground. Not really, of course. But it might as well have been. Dirt was dirt no matter where you were.

Giving a snort, she leaned her weight into that of a nearby boulder, staring out across at the view. She stood near the top of some cliffs, and out below her was a vast series of plains. They went on as far as her eyes could see, with not a soul in sight. In a way it could be almost peaceful, a chance to contemplate her life and surroundings and just relax. But Zahavah wasn't nearly comfortable enough in her own body to do that, no. She craved the companionship of others. Needed to be needed by someone else. Just wandering alone by herself? That wasn't fun. That wasn't beautiful. That was torture.

Giving another sigh, she closed her eyes and kicked her head back, feeling the breeze weave through her mane. Well, there wasn't much she could do until she found another highly settled population. The last herd she'd visited hadn't taken too kindly to her... flirtation with its inhabitants. A satisfied smirk spread across her face at the memories.
