Logically, it probably would have done her better if she at least pretended that she was not in a rush. The coal colored leopard panted heavily as she raced across the ground, her feet aching with swollen pain and her eyes in a panic to look at everything all at once. Her ears were twisting and turning as she paused to listen to the sweet afternoon sounds of the savanna, carefully attempting to pinpoint if she heard any animals screeching her name.
This was a good choice. No, even better this was without a doubt the right decision. Sundai was a better parent then he was a big brother sometimes and she knew that leaving those cubs in his care would mean they would have a fair better future then if she had stuck around. She had nothing to fret over. Nothing at all.
Kohinoor fought the growing feeling of guilt in her stomach as she continued to pad along the landscape. The day was seasonably warm and although Kohi was never one to complain about nasty weather running nonstop was certainly not aiding her at this particular moment when it came to keeping cool in the sun. Slowing her pace the leopard began a fine trot instead of a full out run. She could hear her heart in her ears and the sound of her own breaths as she panted were not going away anytime soon. That, paired with the heat slowing coming over her made Kohi realize something her body demanded. Water. She needed water. The chance to cool down and relax for a while. You know, before she continued going her merry way on the run... From her family who were probably searching for her.
Twisting her attention to the sound of rushing water the leopard flicked her tail as she slowly maneuvered through the grass towards the river in the distance. She could collect her thoughts there, Kohi decided. It had been almost a full day or two now, and she had fled without any indication of which direction she was heading in. Sundai wouldn't be able to catch up to her for a while yet, if he even had a trail to go on. He was a lazy boy anyways, honestly, he probably hadn't even left the area where they had stopped that night. She could afford rest, she could afford a break from this stress overcoming her.
Making her way to the river Kohi noted the obvious lack of most animals. Usually rivers and watering holes had several, but here she stopped and starred as she spotted only one animal in particular: crocodiles. A temporary grin inched across her face, the leopardess also temporarily forgot her "family problems" as she did so. Crocodiles made her think of a rather dangerous game she was tempted to play. Hop the Croc or something like that...

Would she be interested? Adusa was truly interested in seeing the reaction from the other leopard. Perhaps he had been on his own for too long, but the thought of playing with another was exciting. Much better than those lackluster days of just lazing about. Slipping only a little, the leopard caught himself on another rock as he flicked his tail in amusement towards the waters below.
"Hmm..." At the question Adusa simply grinned, "I'm improvising as I go along, honestly." He glanced down at the crocs stirring in the waters, "If you don't mind a bit of danger, then I think we have volunteers to play with us." His gaze lit up as he watched the leopardess coming his way. Alright, then! Adusa glanced along the waters and noted the rocks scattered here and there, "Let's see who can be the first to get to that side..." He nodded his head towards an area of land just a bit down the river, "By using rocks and crocs."
It would be a fun hopping game, as long as they didn't lose their paws.
