In general, I don't wear makeup that often - both personal preference and because of work uniform/appearance guidelines. Pretty much the only time I do is for special occasions like dances or costume events (i.e. cons). Even then I usually only do eyeshadow, nail polish, and occasionally lipstick.
I've always seen what people do with makeup to transform themselves into something awesome. While I would love to try doing some of them, I can't justify spending so much money on makeup items that I'll probably won't use otherwise.
