[PRP] Forest Trek (Kamakura/Quidel'shikoba)

[3:30HM - The Not-Forbidden Forest]


Kamakura had set off with his greater feline mount that he'd given the name Ranji. The great cat and he were rather close, and he enjoyed taking the mount out and about for trips. Leaning in he held onto the saddle as the large predatory leaped over a fallen log with swift grace, and ease. He had a tendency to bring him dead things as presents when he least expected it.

The presents usually ended up in the nights meal, or given away to other minipets as food offerings. He enjoyed the graceful beasts company, and the two had grown accustomed to stalking and hunting together once they'd become familiar with one another.

He was another present from back home, and had come unexpectedly as it had been his 16th birthday not long ago. The demon more or less was having the time of his life learning how to ride the mount properly. Crashing through the underbrush, he nearly was thrown off his powerful mount as the pair came around a steep incline, the pathway and abruptly dipped in the road were a root from a tree had been torn up.

"Jacking piece of s**t. You okay there buddy?" He hissed at the root, holding on for dear life as he clutched at Ranji's harness to keep from flying off.

His usual ritual in the forest had gone underway for awhile now. Leaving the Tower early in the day, he had begun putting all his energy and focus into training even more. He had even less now, he felt, than when he'd come here. While he'd finally met some individuals, they didn't stick around. They all had lives, and others that were more enticing, and important, leaving the stallion to feeling a little scorn... but not terribly so. Bitterness wasn't something he was used to feeling, but it'd begun to worm its way into his heart.

Yet with his trusty mount, he could let it all wash away. His body glistened with fresh sweat from his workout, shimmering with his deep, even breathing, as he lay comfortably atop one of the sturdy branches in the mighty dead trees. On his back, he stared up at the dark sky, crimson dipped wings dangling down, his mind wandering. But a hand kept busy, idly stroking and rubbing the plush fur on his cheetah mounts chest, who lay closer to the trunk on the same branch, contently looking over the vast forest. The felines eyes were squinted in a pleased fashion, mere slits, surveying the land, sleek long tail also draped off the side a well.

The big cat perked up a little when he noticed the approach of a foreign figure, honing in on it with swiveling ears, and keen eyes. Spotting the moving pair, he watched them curiously, head craning to the side for a better look. When the two crashed, his ears twitched with surprise, which also caused Qui to take a peek below as well. Seeing the interesting combo of, what he assumed a Halloweener, and some sort of cat-esque mount, the stallion was admittingly interested.

Shifting to lay onto his side instead, he continued staring at the couple a moment longer, before finally calling out, "You alright down there?"
