The ex-Archdutches lay under the shade of a long-dead tree, it's skeletal branches barely offering any kind of shade. The white tuft of her tail flicked rhythmically against the sand as jade-green eyes shifted restlessly across the vista. The red desert sand stretched out endlessly all around her, a sharp contrast to the pale blue sky above. She had been in this land for some time now, long enough that she was considered one of them. But lately she had been restless. Thought of her old life intruded on her mind more frequently, awakening the old frustration and anger over her exile. Yet there was nothing she could do, and so the frustration remained, making her temper short and her claws reckless. She had already narrowly avoided making several critical mistakes while sparring that morning, so she had taken herself away from the main bulk of the pride and retreated to this desolate, abandoned corner of the Firekin empire.
She needed a distraction, a change of routine from her everyday. But she had no idea just what she was looking for... Sighing she dropped her muzzle across her red and black stripped legs, jade eyes slitting.
