Being rolled underwater was very far from fun. Keionx struggled with the beast as it took her and Vremea under the water, and finally managed to kick it away and pick up her sword. She was covered, now, in abrasions and mud, but her eyes were as blazingly resolute as before...

Vremea had just managed to give it a hard hit before it snapped it's mouth on her arm. With one passing glance to the alligator, the scream Vremea released from her mouth as soon as it started twirling was enough to make her see stars. After she finished, Vremea merely wrenched her arm out, thankful for the troll's naturally strong bodies-- Her arm was now aching in pain, and while Vremea wished she could cry, she pushed herself not to. She needed to be strong!

Gliding up into the air, Odette scanned down for a vantage point, surfing through the trees to distract the swampbeast. A part of her felt horrible for hurting the swamp creature. It wasn't vengeful, it was just trying to protect itself. Still, the beast wasn't backing down. And most of her attacks deflected off the thick skin, anyways. She was fairly certain she was hardly hurting the creature.

Just as she was moving in for another attack, the tail hit her quite hard in her gut. Giving a cry of pain, she went in fiercely with another attack and managed to land her hit, in revenge.

As the swampmama agressed her friends, Keionx moved into position, trying to keep her breathing under control. Suddenly, like a serpent, she struck, dealing a nasty blow to the Swampmama right behind it's eyes. It thrashed, splashing her with water, but it was wounded and bleeding. And, if it could bleed, it could be finished... couldn't it?

Another bite! With a piercing cry, Vremea slashed at it hard, tears threatening to spill as she clutched her arm in pain afterwards.

Calling back to her teammates, Odette was distracted when the swampbeast caught her leg in its jaws. She let out a scream, broken foot crunching under the beasts jaws. "Vremea!" She called out, desperately trying to break free from the beast's death roll.

If it wasn't down by now then they were in a long fight. Already Athene saw the effects of battle on the beast but it was still going. Giving a battle cry she went in for another heavy attack.

Keionx cried out in furious pain as the beast chomped down on her. She twisted to escape, her boots fraying with the effort. At least it gave her an opening - she stabbed it in it's sensitive tongue before moving quickly out of the way again...

After a hard hit to the back, Vremea felt her breath fly out of her and she crashed into the waters, struggling to get up. After struggling to get up, she suddenly felt a large presence above her. She had only just managed to get out of the way when the alligator came over TRIED TO SIT ON HER. With wide eyes, she gave it a hard whack and sprinted away, frightened of it's large jaws. Nope, nope, nope!

Odette had finally freed herself, quickly moving away in horror from the smiling swampbeast. She rubbed her foggy goggles, cleaning them of mud and tears. She wanted to flee, but she couldn't leave her teammates behind, or worse, lead the creature to the Mother Grub. She tried to keep her resolve, attacking the swampbeast with a quick smack to the jaw.

Was it starting to slow? Athene blinked, then managed a half of a smile. Maybe they were getting somewhere in the fight. Aiming a kick to it's side, she watched as it landed true.

Claws raked her exoskeleton as she tried to hold the beast away from her friends... to no avail. Keionx growled in rage as she shoved the beast in the face. Take that, thou villain!

A surge of power suddenly coursed through Vremea's veins, and, avoiding every attack, the yellowblood managed to land a solid hit on the enormous monster! She only wished her powers had worked on the alligator-- It would've made a fine defender in case anyone attacked them!

Sniffling, Odette swung her glaive again at their attacker. Looking back at her teammates, she could see that everyone was quickly getting hurt in this fight. Everything, to protect the grubs, she supposed. She fought for her friends, and for them. It was up to all of them to save them. To save the hope for a new future for Alternia.
