User Image Summertime didn't bring much change to the Zizimisha. The lake that surrounded the island melted a bit, but the waters that remained around their land always had a thin layer of ice over it. There was less snow, certainly, but rarely did it melt enough for grass to poke through. Any normal lion would call the island a little pocket of winter in an otherwise blazing summer, but Ezen couldn't agree less. He hated the heat, it made him sluggish and tired, and to him this was hot.

He had dug himself a little hole in the snow under some pine trees to take shelter from the sun in, trying to stay cool. He was a very fluffy guy and his size didn't help matters much either. Staying cool in the summer was his number one priority, even higher than keeping an eye on Elsa. Nothing of note had happened over the winter, her cubs had grown, and the ice melting prevented any unwanted visitors from entering and from Elsa running off to her little cave on the mainland. He didn't have to worry nearly as much.

He huffed softly as he turned around, trying to get back into the shade. The wind was blowing a warm breeze through the trees and he was doing his best to stay out of it.
