Chozi was honestly tired. He had never felt this exhausted in his life, and he just felt more exhausted by the moment. The drought had taken it's toll on the small cheeton's body. He hadn't eaten during the drought - not as much as he should have, anyway, but now he couldn't seem to keep down any food he took in.
That is probably what made Chozi the most tired. His stomach would ache from his lack of eating, but then he would try to eat and it would all just come rushing back out almost as soon as he ate it.
Today, though, Chozi was going to walk. The water was soothing, lapping against his feet. He had long since gained the skill to walk in the water of the lands without sinking into the squelching mud just below the water's surface. Most of the pride stayed inland lately, though, and Chozi had wandered towards its edges, where the water would eventually meet a shore, then rolling plains.
Chozi didn't expect to hear a voice, let alone a pair of them.
"Hello?" He called before coughing a bit, throat sore from his sickness and lack of use lately.

Aspasia's head popped up at the sound of another voice. Oh! A stranger. She smiled and fluttered her wings, lifting herself off the ground further. Atiya was thankfully still on the ground, though he had to scurry through the mud in order to keep up with the goddess.
She spotted the cheeton easily and directed herself towards him. She fluttered down to the ground, a broad smile on her face. "Hello stranger!" She greeted cheerfully. As a goddess, she was larger than the average lion and her wings spanned quite a distance when outstretched, though she tucked them back to her side.
"We're not intruding on pridal grounds are we?" She asked, still smiling.
The second half of her 'we' appeared, covered in mud and looking incredibly disgruntled. Even his green ribbon was muddied. "Ugh, why is everything so muddy?" Atiya bemoaned, attempting to use his front paws to drag the mud off his ribbon, but only succeeding in rubbing it further into the fabric.A look of dejection crossed his face as he continued to work on his ribbon.

Chozi cleared his throat a bit, trying to get rid of the scratchy feeling, but it stuck like a lump in his throat.
The goddess fluttered down quite gracefully, and for a brief moment, Chozi was jealous of that grace. If only he could obtain that while dancing - but he had a long way to go, if he was honest with himself. "There are pride lands," he agreed. "But you're not intruding." Chozi started coughing right after he finished his sentence, turning his head away and covering his mouth with his paw in an attempt to stifle the coughs and their sound.
After he quit coughing a rasping for his breath, he looked down at the little hare. Most of the familiars in the pride were Avians so far, and there was always the rare snake skimming along the surface of the water. "Up until recently, it was a barren wasteland," he offered. "But it rained, so the mud hasn't completely settled..."
