A. No! These are strong warrior cheetah's they are honourable.... not jerks.

A. No! It's just that females are the prime warriors.

Appearance & Species

Appearance: The Valkriye's have no preference on coat colours. All the matters to them is whether you can fight or not.
Species: Cheetahs are above all the dominant species in the pride. Cheetah-hybrids are also acceptable although they aren't able to hold the higher ranks.

Anyone that doesn't have cheetah blood in them is the lowest of the low and are considered nothing but slaves and live punching bags.

Familiars

General Stance: If they can make it into the pride they are welcome to be there. It is better if they are bonded to someone otherwise they may become someone else's dinner.

Religion

Marriage & Breeding

Marriage: There isn't really any marriage in the pride or permanent mating. The only thing that is expected is that the consorts to the Orin and the Valkyrie. While the consorts must be faithful the Orin and the Valkyrie do not. Amongst the common people of the pride however it is encouraged to make any sort of pairing that may lead to the strongest children.

Breeding: Flings are allowed and the most common form of breeding in the pride.
Rogue Breeding as well as Flings that happen in the rogue lands are also acceptable if they are what will bring strong children.
Adolescent breeding is discouraged, its felt that an adolescent is not strong enough to produce favourable offspring.

Naming: While any name is accepted in the pride there is a heavy preference for German, Dutch, Scandinavian, Nordic, Welsh or Old English Names (keeping in mind actual english names are not allowed in SoA. Alger would be acceptable but Bradley would not).

History

Tenen was born in the rogue lands, a part of a triplet set of sisters. After a blowout fight with her sisters, one that Tenen will not speak of, she branched out on her own. It was during her first month on her own that she came upon the pride lands. Passing through a cavern that she found at the exact right time of day and into a cove that was secluded and protected. As she spent her first days her alone it came to her, this is where she needed to be and she would build a pride of warriors. Of course her preference is for female warriors as she believes a female cheetah to be much stronger than a male, she grew to accept the fact that the pride would need them to survive.

Current Events

Tenen is well settled in the pride, having cleaned out most of the living dens herself. She is now slowly collecting members and most importantly her Valkyrie to stand by her side.

Festivals & Ceremonies

Valkyrie Battle: This is a ceremony held when someone of the general population believes they are strong enough to be a Valkyrie. in order to prove themselves they must battle a Valkyrie and prove that they are strong than she is.

The battle is done with a dice rolls. The challenger has 20 HP and the Valkyrie has 25.

To fight, roll 1-6 sided dice per attack (each post will be a new attack). Roll the dice then fill in your post accordingly.

1 - miss (- 0hp to opponent)
2 - hesitate ( -0hp to opponent)
3 - light hit ( -1 hp to opponent)
4 - medium hit (-2hp to opponent)
5 - hard hit (-4 hp to opponent )
6 - critical ( -6 hp to opponent)

If the challenger wins they have the choice of taking the defeated Valkyrie's consort as her own (adding insult to injury) or choosing another available male (usually from the group of shield warriors but can be any male that is not already a consort.

There are OC requirements to challenge a Valkyrie. You must have completed 5 rps within the pride with your character in the last 6 months.
You also may only challenge once every 6 months. This is due to the fact that ICly if they lost the loosing member would be require to do a great deal of training before they would be allowed to challenge again.

Also please discuss these challenges with each other ahead of time so everyone is on the same page. If a challenger can not find someone to duel with please pm Velvie or nessiaing so that we can help you out.

Geography

The pride's main location is a cove named Valhalla.

The entrance to the cove is hidden along a slim line of beach, along sheer cliffs. Due to the heavy tidal flow, the entrance to the pride is often covered by the tide, making it difficult to gain entrance. There are a few hours per day when the path is clear, however, and this is the main period of movement in and out of the pride.
[ It is possible to leave the pride when the tide is in, but it is more precarious, and more dangerous ]

The beach is quite large, depending on the tidal movements, but during storms the water can come straight up to the sheer cliffs.

The cliffs are the home of the entire pride, there are a variety of caves along the sheer cliff which form the dens. There are multitudes of paths up the cliff, leading to different areas. However, there are no paths directly up the cliff to the top, the only way to leave the pride is the path along the beach.

Odin: The leader of the pride. Always a female, always a cheetah. She is the strongest of the strong. (1/1)
Prime Consort: The male consort to Odin. He is seen as the strongest male in the pride and may not be sought after by any other female. (0/1)
Arbennig (Special): The cubs born to the Odin. Even if they are not sired by the prime consort. Even though they are born to leader of the pride once they hit the age of adult there is no special treatment they must prove themselves just like anyone else. (0/?)

High-Middle Class
*Cheetahs Only*

Valkyrie: The twelve strongest female warriors of the pride after the Odin. They answer only to Odin, and it is a highly prized position. (Please note that if you have a character in this position you can be challenged for it at any time... please be graceful and accepting of this OCly (be dramatic as you want ICly) or do not put your cheetah in this role. Consort: The chosen 12 males of the Valkyries. Each Valkyrie is only allowed to choose one consort, and this will be their chosen rank. (Please note that if your cheetah is in this positions his remaining there depends on the female who choose him remaining a Valkyrie, if she is demoted and the new Valkyrie does not choose to keep him on he too will be demoted to the shield warrior positiion. Heiler: The healers of the pride. With so many warriors wounds happen and someone needs to heal them. (1/?)
Sirens: Female only rank. The Hunters and Fishers of the pride. Females are considered to be better hunters than the males so they take this responsibility on. (0/?)
Samla: Male only rank. They are responsible for going out to the rogue lands and collecting the items that can't be naturally found in the cove. (0/?)
Nani: These are cheetahs or cheetah-hybrids around for the sole purpose of minding after the children of the Odin and the Valkyrie. These ladies are considered to have better things to do than raise their own young. Everyone else however is expected to raise their own. (0/?)
Welp: The cubs and adolescents that have cheetah blood not born mothered by the Odin. (0/?)

Low Class
*Anything that isn't a Cheetah*

Sacrifice: A regular species soa who has no cheetah blood. They are bellow slaves, they are kept in close confinement and are often treated as life punching bags for the warriors to train on. (0/?)
Servant: Rank for all familiars in the pride. Although they may not actually be treated as servants since they have no cheetah blood they can not hold any higher rank. (0/?)
