Safari Contest [Forgotten Fun House] - (Closed)

Kain would look up towards the so called 'Haunted House', or so it said in bold letters. The stilt like man would give a puff of breath, at its lame attempt. Walking up the metal steps Kain would be distracted by a flickering light off in the distance. Kain tried to shake it off before seeing it again. "hmmmm?" He rubbed his chin, " What calls for my presence?". Leaving the poor Haunted house, he followed the light to the giant broken down fun house, that made up majority of the park. Flickering only a little bit more in the door way. "How odd? I love it" He said with a grin stretching ear to ear.

Walking up the old wooden stairs, Kain ran his hand along the cheep metal of the railings, something quite accustom to these kinds of parks all made barely safe. He walked in the door that said enter, wear he could see others foot prints, likely other snagems on the hunt as well, but none coming from the exit, odd; perhaps, fun; definitely.

Kain strode in waving his arms by his side. The first set of doors appear, the left looks like a room of polka dots, and the other zig zags. Trying to avoid clowns Kain would lean towards the door on the right when the light appeared behind a hidden door farther to the right. Kain could of sworn the room didn't even have enough room for another before. Walking through the door way, the slamming of wood yelped behind him. "Well" Kain said trailing off in his smile "I think we have someone playing fun, don't you think Ioch?" With Kain's Question Ioch would fly out of its hilt floating to kains hand. The red Saber glinted in the yellow light of old bulbs swaying back and forth.

Suddenly all the lights in the hallway would burst leaving on black. Yet light would creep, a dim purple filled the room, with row of flames. Kain knowing what he does, took a familiar and guess he was working with a ghost pokemon. Bringing up the Pokedex on his visor he kept, scrolling looking, and looking, and looking, and for Giritinas sake! Kain would whip off the hud display, and remove his helm. He handed it to his sword Pokemon, Ioch, who held the helmet with his lone hand. Kain pulled out a small book from his pocket. He loved reading, especially something of relevance to his current situation, when looking for more understanding of his father he came across this book of Pokemon with Spiritual abilities, specificly Ghost, Dark, and Psychic types. Flipping through the pages Kain could recognize the purple flame. Kain using the glow of his eyes read the name of the creature, "litwick huh? So that is what you are?"

In front of the illuminating eye'd man a candle appeared, bearing a face very similar to a pout. The pokemon was obviously upset that Kain foiled its little game. "sorry little, um... you" Kain tilted his head trying to guess its gender, "How about we have a battle and than you can come home with me if I catch you?" Obviously Kain wasn't expecting much of a answer but he got one. The Litwick would shake its head at the idea, and gesture to Kain following it. "Umm what you don't want me to catch you?" Again an answer, the litwick shrugged and made a gesture for Kain to follow it again.

The litwick flew down the hallway , passing through a door at the end. Kain shrugged and ran after it. He only stopped when finding out the rest of the hallway was actually just a painting and led now where. So where was Kain suppose to go? With one moment Kain fell through the trap door below him, landing on some dusty old mattresses. Looking up Kain could see Ioch still with his helmet, "Well come on lets get that Litwick!" Ioch slammed into its hilt, just like Kain placing his head in the helmet. In the distance Kain could see the purple flame dancing back and forward. He leaned in the direction only banging his helmet on something, glass? He walked opposite of the glass wall and found another. "Is this a maze of glass? Oh I hope this is actually fun." In the dark Kain could only feel the walls to get by as he swamped his way through this invisible prison. Each twist and turn made Kain's well known patience shorter and shorter, to the point where he was snarling just walking. Finally he made it to the exit, the ghost was right in front of him. He walked towards it, banging his face on the glass again. With a shake he looked up and saw a giggling candle stick as if it had won, that isn't how Kain plays.

Pulling out his pistol Kain aimed it at the glass. The Litwick noticing would scurry down the hallway behind it. The hammer dropped and shards flew, Kain made his own exit.

down a swirling staircase, Kain jogged, only slowing at the bottom. This time he saw the illusion right away. Rows and rows of mirrors, each distorted or odd in their own ways. Taking his helmet off Kain, gawked at these conundrums. He would approach each with a small amount of fear or nervousness. Kain always loved to dress well and indulge in vanity but something about these few mirrors scared him. The first one was just Kain, it read take a look at yourself, a clear mirror no awkwardness about it. Kain walked over to the next, as it read take a look at yourself? The same print, but Kain looked different. There was short man, with purple eyes, who was this? He looked somewhat like Kain's father, the sickest and most abusive person he knew. Quickly avoiding his eyes he went to the next that said the same line again. There was himself again but his eyes teeth and hair all glowed, what did it mean? Thirdly the mirror Kain saw with the same line, was him, but older? His eyes where pink, his smile was crooked and he had six long wings like his father coming off his back? He also wasn't nearly as skina nd bone as he was now, still skinny but thicker. What was this? Ioch trying to see what caused his master such distress saw himself but two in a pair and with golden eyes. "Is this going to be us Ioch?" kains said curiously, "These people look like they have been met with a lot more trouble and growth than us. Behind the other Kain could see a Chandelur looking curiously. Kain spun around Ioch in his hand facing the Litwick, "You!"

Kain struck at the Ghost type using Iochs Shadow sneek ability. The ghost hit the wall, stunned. "Have you tortured me enough? Will you battle us?" The Litwick would look up rubbing a tear from its eye. "Oh Im sorry you where just playing a game" Kain spoke softly kneeling down rubbing a different tear from the Pokemons eye. "Hey I have two more trouble makers just like this guy here in my hand at home, would you like to come play with them too?" His words where gentile and honest, when he though back on what Hex and Venom where probably up to currently. The small scared pokemon nodded.

Kain taking out a safari Kain let the red energy flow, caressing the Pokemon and lifting it into the capsule.

The Ball would click holding Kains newest member. bring up his little book again Kain quickly read the male and female differences, "Oh so your a girl? Okay your name will be hmm... ah I know Bellatrix! Not sure where I know that from, oh well!"  

[Requiem of Whyspers]

Trish was beginning to calm down after Duskull's appearance, now that she realized Fuse hadn't killed that Sewaddle and that easily frightened Duskull had simply used the situation to achieve a scare of it's own, she had sat down with the Electrike and was cradling him in her lap, petting him as he panted heavily, clearly exhausted by now. "I don't remember the way out, Fuse..." She lamented, her wild tresses obscuring her face. "We're lost in a creepy, haunted old amusement park and you're too tired to keep fighting."

"Zagoon?"

"What?"

"Zigzag!" A Zigzagoon had somehow found it's way in and was, as it's name implied, zigzagging all about the hallways, sniffing to and fro. "You looking for food or the way out, too?" She asked the Pokemon, offering it a hand in camaraderie for the moment.

"Zigzigzag." Zigzagoon replied, smiling as it produced an Oran berry. Maybe it had been sent by the people at the office to help them? Giving the berry to Fuse, Trish stood up, watching and waiting until the Electrike began to feel better. Zigzagoon did just the same and when the Electric-type was in a condition to walk again, it began to lead them back to the front gates. "Thank the heavens." Trish said quietly, following Zigzagoon with Fuse at her ankles.
