Oh thank god. I thought you got 3 grand and I was like "Yup. Moving to California. Don't give a ******** if your cost of living is higher."
We got about $680. Daniel is getting a small raise so we'll have a bit more |

Haha, yeah, our minimum wage at the moment in Santa Clara is $9. Next door in San Jose it's $10 I think.
It's aways off but I'm excited to see what my next paycheck will net me. Cuz I got some sweet-a** overtime. cool As in, two 12-hour shift days. biggrin |

Nice. Daniel got two 16 hour shifts this pay period. So hopefully it'll make our paycheck a bit better |

I did a bit searching since I was intrigued by the fact of different CA cities have separate minimum wages. Apparently, California's overall minimum wage will be $10.00 beginning in 2016. Then, the individual cities minimum wages:
Berkeley - $10.00 (Oct. 2015 - $11.00, Oct. 2016 - $12.53)
Jackson Rancheria - $10.60
Oakland - $12.25
San Francisco - $12.25 (will increase to $15.00 by 201 cool
San Jose - $10.30
Los Angeles. - In May 2015, the city council approved a plan to raise the minimum wage to $15 by 2020, but unions that supported the increase asked for an exemption.
The minimum wage here in WA is currently $9.47. Though Seattle's minimum wage is currently $11.00 and will increase to $15.00 by 2017 for businesses with over 500 employees, and for all businesses by 2021. |
