Leilani was in the city, for the first time in what seemed like a long time, to pick up supplies. Being around all these people was nerve wracking for the poor tortured soul. All the noise, the overwhelming mesh of smells, the bodies that kept bumping into her. She was ready to explode from the overexcitement.

Sapphire was running errands for her father, helping with taking care of getting basic necessities. She didn't mind helping out, and rather enjoyed the book keeping and organization of things. She had a very precise way of doing things and it usually was because they were efficient.
Pulling a small book from her bag, a small frown on her face, she checked her list for seasonings and compared what she had gotten for it last time to what they were currently asking for. The luxury item was too expensive, even if she tried to haggle it down. With a snap, she closed the book and placed it back into her bag, turning and bumping right into another Pae. "Oh. Sorry."
Leilani gasped, panic skittering across her features as she felt the solid nudge push her toward the table. Gritting her teeth, she turned and gave the nudger a flimsy, sacherine coated smile. "That's quite allright, dear. It's not the first time it's happened today." she said, albeit a little sternly.
It wasn't that she meant to be rude. It was more like this was the milliionth time someone had bumped into her and her patience for the city folk were wearing thin at this point. And she was only halfway thru her list.

Sapphire felt one eyebrow raise at the other Pae's comment. She looked the other Angel over, seeing that was wasn't hurt at all what so ever, which left only one reason for the sweetly coated annoyance. "Welcome to the City. If you don't like crowds, this will never be the place for you."
It wasn't that Sapphire was from the City, but she was so used to the crowds during her visits that the amount of bodies pushing against each other in congestion didn't bother her one bit. She'd just learned to keep her hand on her bag to feel for pick pockets. Easily, she maneuvered herself around to get away from the booth. "I would also advise not shopping here: very over priced for the amount they're selling."
Leilani gave another overly sweet smiles, this time a bit more pained. "It's a good thing I had no need for..." she paused to look at the wares, and a giggled escaped her. She couldn't help it. She had almost been pushed into a wide variety of socks. And when she said socks, she meant a sock for every kind of pae that was known to exist. Including Harpies.
The giggles doubled as she finally realized they were all a sickly green color.After a few seconds, she was bent in half gasping for air. She had almost been done in by puke colored socks.
When she was finally able to get a grip on herself, she straightened and wiped at the tears. "On second thought, I might just get Theron a pair of these. Over priced or not." she called at the other woman. Theron could appreciate a good, bodily function colored sock.

Ugh, there was another one of those sickeningly sweet fake smiles. The hell was wrong with pae? Whatever, she didn't have time to nor was she even interested in caring about whatever the hell was wrong with this Pae. She had her own shopping to do, and she was already anxious to get back home and go deal with Shaeloh, the record keeper.
As the other Angel sudden burst out into hysterical laughing, Sapphire made a hasty escape. What the ever living hell was wrong with that girl? Sapphire continued to move through the crowds until she found a stall that was selling what looked like delicious melons. It wasn't on the list, so if she bought any it'd be on her own dime. This only made her more hesitant, despite how delicious the fruit looked and smelled.
Instead, she watched and listened to hear any of the haggling going on to get the feel of if she could lower the price. They were big enough to share with somepae... or multiple somepae.

Leilani tucked the ugly socks into her satchel and attempted to brave the masses once more. It had been so long since she had been to market that she had forgotten how demanding the throng could be. She had told Theron she would do this on her own and she would but that didn't mean it was easy for her.
Coming around a narrow bend, she narrowly dodged being trampled by a group of small children. In her haste to remove her self out of the way, she lost her footing and bumped into another pae. Again.
She silently prayed that the Gods would have pity on her as she turned around to apologize.
