Sekayi looked toward the sun, where it was rising slowly in the horizon, as he trotted alongside his brother. They had been gone from their pride for a while now, but Sekayi still missed everyone that they left behind back home. They had never known their father, but they had known a loving mother. He also thought fondly of his sisters and the other lionesses in the pride that had influenced him as he grew.
He hoped that they were all doing well. It was strange being on his own, but having his brother with him made everything easier and kept his spirits up.
