Brezanae was sort of drifting through life of late. She simply felt rather lost. She had sought out, come to find, and made herself a home and began life anew amongst the Amazons. There was companionship, peace, and she felt happy. Zan had risen achieved the rank of Master Storyteller and she relished her job within the pride. Though she had been born and raised in the rogue lands, the lioness had felt right at home amidst the females of the Antianiera.
Of course, now that was all gone. Zan roamed the lands, a rogue again though in the very core of her, she held true to her beliefs, how she felt. The Amazons may be gone, but she would carry on. Shaking her head as a moment of melancholy gripped her, the storyteller sighed. Every last one had disappeared. She had hoped to maybe find another to travel with or talk with, something, anything. Alas, no one. A part of her felt as though she had failed somehow. There was nothing she could do and everyone was gone. She was alone.
She could have gone anywhere, but, after some time spent in the grasslands, Zan felt the urge to return to the comforting familiarity of forest. She missed the sound of the rivers. She missed her den, but it felt all the more lonely staying in the once bustling den site. Her steady pace slowed marginally to turn her face skyward to take in the shafts of soft golden light that filtered through the lush greenery overhead. Beautiful. She gasped as a bright beam of light passed over her face, washing out the world for a brief moment in a haze of sunshine.
Lowering her gaze with a shake of her head, Brezanae sidestepped away of the stream of light, her haunch brushing a low, leafy shrub causing it to rustle and startle a few birds that had been attempting to hide within. The birds flew away calling noisily in alarm. The former teller of tales paused going about her way, rapidly blinking her eyes to encourage them to readjust to the relative dim under the trees. "Hush, birds," Zan chided them. "I'm not interested in you." What she was moderately interested in was the fact that she could smell that there had been some activity in the area. Had she wandered into a pride's territory without realizing? Perhaps she ought to be on alert.

Anansi was enjoying the serenity of having a home once again. She wasn't sure what she would have done if she had been left to wander the rogue lands on her own for much longer. Having been born to such a close family, the phenomenon of living alone and fending for herself was both alien and unnerving.
She much preferred being in the company of other lionesses, and the males weren't so bad either. As long as they were given strict rules, guidelines and tasks to focus on, everyone got along and lived peacefully.
Lost in thought, Anansi startled slightly when the sound of footsteps came to her ears. Initially, she crept closer to the sound and crouched low to the ground to get a look at who was approaching. Her eyes widened when she saw a familiar lioness walking in the distance. A lioness that she recalled living with in her original home.
Excited, Anansi stood and approached her slowly as not to startle her. "Hello," she said with a wide smile, "Welcome to my home."
