It'd been a few days now, of roaming, wandering, and exploring the new lands that had been undiscovered and touched by the medic. He'd enjoyed the alone time, and the solace he found in just aimlessly walking about. It was a nice change of pace from the monotony of being surrounded by his herd, as he was always open to new experiences. After all, learning and knowledge were important in this world.
Coming to a forest, he idly pondered finding himself a nice juicy meal to hunt down. It'd been awhile since he'd had a carnivorous meal due to the sparse presence of anything edible. In fact, he gave pause to watch a few birds fly overhead, sifting through ideas of what would be a pleasant meal to try and pursue.

His nostrils flared, and deep breaths were drawn as he trudged ahead. There had to be something savory, or enticing enough to chow down on, or at least pursue. With another inhale, the stallion halted, and lifted his head a little bit higher from its already rigidly set posture. Something sharp, distinct, and strong had found its way along the winds and traveled to greet him... a scent he knew all too well, and favored more than was probably healthy.
Blood.
Instantly, his demeanor perked up more, well.... as perky as one of his disposition could be. Lengthy, nude tail flicked and coiled about like a snake as if it had taken on a life of its own, and he increased his pace to a determined trot as he followed the heavenly perfume that baited him, and coaxed him near. Perhaps something was injured, or on its last legs of life... either way, it would surely be a wondrous find!-- however... as he grew closer, and his mind was able to analyze, and start to really dissect the metallic draw, a bit more clarity took form. Perhaps this wasn't exactly what he'd been hoping for... as it didn't hold all the same traits as a normal game creatures blood would have. No. This was something else. Akin to him.
And as he drew closer, and closer, his calculations proved to be righteous. There, across the towering trunks, was a mare. Staring at her, his eyes trailed to find the source of the delicious cologne she gave off, locking onto the legs that were so torn and laced with the rich ruby red. Having stopped stock still, he watched her struggle, observed silently, and unblinking, those eerie, dark, glowing eyes with a small splash of colour unmoving. While this wasn't a source of food, it was definitely a source of interest in another degree all together. One he wouldn't pass up.

The agile-looking mare stopped dead in her tracks. Where she had stopped, she could see fairly well in front of her. Bits of light from the bright sun squeezed between the leaves of the tree and lit most of this part of the forest. Her grey-blue eyes scanned the area in hopes of finding at least the smallest bit of something familiar. A familiar tree, bush, scent, anything! Ana was growing desperate and more frustrated as a layer of sweat began to form under her summer coat. As sweat dripped from her belly, down her legs, and into the wounds on her legs, the mare hissed at the pain and cursed herself for being so foolish. Surely her sister would laugh at her for being such a fool. Another hiss was heard from the mare at the very thought of her beloved sister.
Although her focus was entirely on locating a familiar area, something else had caught her attention. Beneath the heavy scent of her blood, she could sense something else approaching. It was difficult to tell what or who might be approaching, but Ana knew better than to stay in one place for too long. Sitting here left her easy for an attack. She was nothing more than a sitting duck for any predator who knew the area well and she needed to escape this forest before her scent attracted too many hungry carnivores.
With that, Ana picked a direction and as quickly as she could walked in the chosen direction. Her posture had shifted. Ana's body was rigid, ready for an attack, and her ears twitched in various directions. As her nostrils flared, she tried to pick up wherever the creature she had sensed earlier would be. Her once calm blue-grey eyes now shifted as she walked. She avoided large bushes and areas that wolves or worse could hide. "Come on. Come on." Ana whispered in a slightly panicked tone to herself, "I've got to get out of here."

He kept his distance, and remained hidden amongst trees, and other vegetation, so as to further observe the strange mare. She seemed able to move without too much struggle, though there would surely be some discomfort from those riddled scars. There wasn't a chance for blood loss, lest she push herself too hard, or get into another scuffle of sorts. Still... infection was a possibility.
His ears would waver ever so slightly as he watched her movements, and antics, perking faintly when she began to progress onward. Shifting his weight slowly, he trailed after her, making sure to keep a reasonable berth between the two of them, so as not to reveal his presence just yet. He was curious, and wanted to see what sort of nature this subject possessed, and just what her possible pain threshold might be. It would be good research and information for future prospects, certainly.
And besides, if medical attention was something she would be seeking, or desiring, he wouldn't pass the chance to practice his years of teachings. Truly, he was feeling a little giddy, in his own twisted way. Twice now he'd gotten the chance to investigate wounded Soquili, and put to test his teachings. The more the merrier!

A resilient one, this mare was. How intriguing~
Like a shadow shifting through a night, he utilized the cover that the dense, rich forest provided to keep out of sight and continue to observe his recent subject. It'd been awhile since he'd found someone, and he wasn't going to pass up a chance to see just what they were all about.
When the clearing became visible, he didn't falter in parting through it as well, revealing his slightly larger than the norm, size, vibrant glowing eyes keeping locked onto the female in question, as she continued on her unwritten path. Surely those scratches were irritating, in the least... Sleek tail winding and curling behind him, Risk locked eyes with Ana when she did a glance back, his approach at an easy, unconcerned gait. Unfortunately, while he was riddled with plenty of knowledge with the ways of healing, and anatomy, and could more than likely perform the most unpleasant of injuries or illnesses to befall you--with the right tools--his lack of tact when it came to social norms was so very absent.
It didn't even occur to him how creepy he was, or could be, from the perspective of others. How his observing via stalking was unnerving, or his questions too personal and blunt. Curiosity was never turned down, and in fact encouraged, in his herd after all.
