User ImageLucivar yawned mightily before shaking out his thick blond mane. Glancing up at the weak sun where it poked through the ever-present cloud cover, he knew he should make a move. He had promised his reavers a Viking, more for their sake than any desperate urge to go outside the pride so soon after returning home with Mwana. But all of them were feeling the presence of a certain unwelcome Captain. Ragnvard had been making more of a nuisance of himself than usual, cropping up in random places only to drop a cutting remark and leave, or he dragged his poor thrall along, showing her off around the pride. She was indeed a vey pretty little thing, but so thin she looked starved and covered in fresh wounds. Lucivar had always known Ragnvard was not a nice lion, but this…? It made his stomach turn. However, Ragnvard never truly broke the pride’s laws and was well within his right to discipline his thrall if he felt she needed it. Though Lucivar had a hard time believing she was anything other than obedient, even if it was through sheer terror of the big red male.

Sighing he pushed the unfortunate female from his mind. He had saved Mwana, and had laid claim to his Mbali. Now his thrall and his new wife were each other’s constant companion. A neat little solution that he was inordinately proud of. Both of them should be safe from Ragnvard’s unwelcome attention, as Mwana now had the authority to speak up on his behalf, and Mbali was now Lucivar’s wife.

The thought of the pretty lioness made him smile. It was still so new that he had a hard time believeing she had accepted his bumbled proposal. Or that the strange circumstances around their union hadn;t put her off.. Smiling softly he shook his head. Time to focus on the here and now. Standing he set off, going in search of Ronan and anyone else who wanted to go on a raid.

User Image Ronan growled low in his throat as he stepped back, away from the training ground. Despite the cold day sweat darkened his tan coat, running in steaks to spot the ground under him with droplets. Training helped dissipate the residual anger meeting Ragnvard had generated. The brothers had accidentally bumped into each other on the cliff and as usual the mere sight of his hated sibling had boiled Ronan's blood. That common reaction had been made even worse by catching sight of the red male's followers. How Ragnvard managed to find reavers willing to obey him still shocked Ronan, though the temper and habits of those reavers did not. Each was either a dumb brute or as viciously savage as Ragnvard himself.

Shaking his thick mane he scanned the area. He needed a distraction, something to take his mind off the encounter. Potting Lucivar walking towards him he shook one last time before moving to meet the Captain on the path. Without even needing to say anything to each other the big tan reaver falls into step beside him Captain and the pair continue on.

User Image "God damn it woman!" He grumbled, stepping backward out of the den he had entered not so long ago.

"Out! And stay out!" His sister's furious voice followed him, making him wince. "If I need your damned help I will ask for it!" She added. Clearly growing even angrier.

Deciding it was in his best interest to leave her to cool down he slipped away, her anger ringing in his ears. Sighing his frustration at having such an independent and stubborn sister he shook himself as if that would dislodge he scathing dismissal of his concerns. Catching sight of the familiar figure of his warbrother and their Captain, he felt relief at the chance of some action. Sitting about the pride was just stressful. Moving down the path and away from his sister's den, he fell into step beside Ronan.

Tendaji had sort of... half-organised his first viking. He had spoken to Lucivar briefly and was aware that he would be following him, but wasn't too sure when... Were these things organised of were they on a whim? Either way he was determined to find out. The quicker he went a-viking the quicker he could become a Reaver and the closer he was to saving Aoife. That was his main goal. It had been a strange turn of events. He had joined the pride intending to become strong, powerful and a good viking, however he had found himself falling for the pale lioness in the early days of his entry into the pride.

Tendaji could see the three males striding forward and nodded gently to Lucivar, his large pale form nearing the male to walk alongside him. He didn't say another word. He didn't know if he needed to. The captain was well aware of his status, and that if any action were to happen, it would be the first time he went viking.

Lucivar spotted the large white lion early and had angled their path to meet the freeborn he has spoken to before. Tendaji was hard to miss, so bright white he stood out in any crowd. But he reminded Lucivar of another all-white lion he had seen round abut. Ragnvard’s thrall, though she had some small black and orange markings, she would have been almost as vivid as the new male had she any opportunity to clean up and eat something. Though as it was she was so thin and battered she appeared more grey than white. Mentally shaking his head at the plight of the unlucky thrall, he returned Tandaji’s nod.

“If you feel ready, we are headed out to go Viking.” He kept walking, knowing the others would keep up. He expected Tendaji to join them today but he always made sure they had no lingering doubts. After all, when reavers went beyond the pride, it was to look for trouble. Any hesitancy was often a bad idea and best avoided.

Ronan glancing over at Aksel as the big green male joined them he didn’t speak, or otherwise seem to acknowledge the other reaver’s presence. But some of the tension drained from him and he huffed a heavy sigh, trying to release the remaining anger. While his brother could drive him to the brink of insanity and murder with a look, the presence of the lion who had fought along side him since they were adolescents was calming. Even with the new issue of Ronan’s interest in Aksel’s sister, it didn’t seem to affect the relationship between them. Despite Aksel’s obsessively over-protective instincts when it came to Audlin.

Walking alongside Ronan he was well aware of the stiffness in his war-brother’s body. The problems between Ronan and his brother Ragnvard were not new, but of late had been escalating rapidly. Yet it provided a distraction for Aksel, allowing him to pin his constantly-simmering anger on Ragnvard and allow him to accept, to some degree, his friend’s interest in his sister with more of a level head. If Audlin had to pick alion to show interest in, at least she had picked one he knew would do the right thing. And with the added bonus that if Ronan messed it up, he knew Aksel would kill him.

As the white male joined them he slowed his pace to Tendaji could walk beside Lucivar with him and Ronan following behind.

"Certainly." Tendaji smiled a brief, serious half-smile and then nodded briskly to the two males that walked alongside Lucivar. He assumed these lions were Reavers, it was more than likely. His eyes flicked past Ronan, completely oblivious to his connection and relationship with Ragnvard...

The male didn't want to ask too many questions, so instead he settled for one, padding alongside the Captain at a decent pace. "Where exactly are we going?" A sudden burst of anxiety wound its way into his head as he thought about the events to come. Fighting males and stealing food was one thing, but would he be expected to capture someone? To injure them?

He knew many lions had thralls, and was aware that most were treated as servants, not punching bags, but he wasn't entirely convinced about his stance on the matter. It had undoubtedly been influenced by falling in love. Love, in the first few weeks of being here. Mad, distracting, almost forbidden love.

And it kept creeping into his mind. Madness.

He shook himself internally and focused his eyes on Lucivar.
