Some creeple might think that the first person Ruth should have gone to see once SC winners were announced was Andrew. Those creeple would be wrong. Ruth knew, as both Ruth and Blondie, that the fire demon didn't really want to win the position of treasuer. He said as much during his campaign and Ruth supported him because spite was such a lovely motivator. Also because she was his minion. There was that too.

However, she had searched the school campus (including the boil's bathroom, unfortunately or fortunately they'd been devoid of students) and couldn't find hide nor hair of the older boil. Ruth allowed Blondie a moment of perplexity and concern before shrugging it off and heading back to her dorm room.

One might ask how Andrew figured out where the Reaper ghoul's room was located. Well, Andrew had his sources. It wasn't that hard to find out where another student generally resided.

Why Andrew was hunting was not because of the student council. Though Gabby did win, Andrew wasn't too heart broken. At least he didn't have to work. The only irritation was that he didn't think a dragon would make for a good Treasurer, but what could he do about it? Nothing that's what. The votes had spoken. they would regret it but it was through no fault of Andrew's own.

No Andrew had come all the way to the reaper's dorm for another reason. A very different reason. Upon locating the number of the room he had written down he knocked, waited a moment listening and then tried the door. Humm, unlocked. Upon opening it, he figured out why. There was nothing in the room. Clearly no occupant. Just plain white walls, white everything. In fact it gave off an almost creepy sterile hospital vibe. Andre exited the room pronto and started down at his paper. did he have the wrong room? Did Reaper rooms even come with furnishings? Clearly this one did.

Andrew lurked in front of the room trying to orient himself.

With her objective not met, Ruth headed back to her room to consider her next move. She should probably work on her homework, and maybe take Blank for a walk together with- Her train of thought was suddenly derailed when she saw Andrew lurking in front of the door to her dorm room. Blue eyes grew saucer-wide behind her bangs as her lips pressed into a tight line, all the while she was internally screaming in horror.

Had he gone inside? Had he seen the state of her dorm? Would he realize she was simply putting on an act? No, no, he wouldn't, would he? Jack damn it, she was going to have to think of an excuse if he had seen the insides. For now, she was going to pretend nothing was wrong. Yes, that's right, that was the best course of action open to her.

Blondie came out front and center as she quietly and timidly approached the flame demon.

It seemed he did not have to go hunting anymore.

"Blondie!" his wings spread a bit in a welcoming gesture. He may have had a slight impulse to take the ghoul under a wing, it seemed like she fit there, under his wing, both figuratively and literally. His little minion.

Speaking of which, "I've been looking for you." Despite the student council votes not going his way, Andrew did not seem to be in a bad mood. "But it seems I had the wrong room." he looked back at his paper and then at the empty door, an indication that yes he might have seen.

Her hands were clammy and her heart was racing a mile a minute, but Blondie forced herself to give Andrew her usual small smile. JackJackJackJackJackCandlejack she repeated in her head when he confirmed he had gone in. Hoo boil, how does she explain?

She pointed to the door, then to herself, and nodded, as if saying yes, that is indeed her Headquarters dorm room. She tilted her head to the side questioningly, Blondie laying it out thick that she had ~no idea~ what he was talking about.

"Yeah. My sources say it is here... if it's not here than where is your room?" her gestures were a little confusing. Andrew figured she thought that he had the wrong room. Her's must be near by though. He looked around as if looking for her actual room.

Ruth resisted the urge to silently cackle in delight at Andrew's confusion. Instead, she stepped towards the door to her room, attempted to unlock it, and started internally screaming again when she found it was unlocked. Luckily, her back was turned to Andrew as the horror dawned on her that he definitely had gone inside.

There was a scratching sound coming from the other side of the door, forcing Ruth to open and was nearly knocked over by her Invisible Dog.

".... wait is that actually your room?" Something was wrong here. No one actually made something like that their room. Was she sick? Was she just super poor? He had a feeling it wasn't the later, there were plenty of opportunities to fix the latter.

Was she a clean freak? That was almost worst. He followed the ghoul in with no invitation. Wait was that an invisible dog? Yes he recognized these minis, how had he missed them?

His original task was forgotten about as he started into the room.

"Blondie.... aren't you cold in here?" he subconsciously turned up the heat coming off his body as he riffled through his pockets, pulling out a little blue lighter. It was cheep, and really served no real purpose for himself, but he felt that the poor students must have felt odd without any fire. (except the frost things, but no one cared about those.... except maybe Olivia) still he continued his actions and light the lighter setting it on her desk.

Once she'd gotten Blank under control, Ruth quickly followed after Andrew, trying to keep her nervous smile from becoming too deranged. He wasn't supposed to see the interior. No one was ever supposed to see the interior of her room. There was technically nothing to see and that was the whole point of it. Somehow, she doubted the fire demon would believe her if she tried to pin the blame on indecision.

Blondie rushed to point at the lighter followed by the empty metal nightstand beside her bed. Though most of the furniture in her room was simple in design and made of metal the desk he'd set the lighter on was made of wood. Said desk and the suitcase she was lugging around when they first encountered each other after Wonderland were the only things made of wood.

At the question of being cold, Ruth tilted her head and pursed her lips in thought. Blondie shook her head in response and gestured to her bed. Particularly at the starched, stark-white sheet neatly tucked on the thin mattress that might as well have been made of cardboard. She pointed at Andrew, pantomimed shivering from the cold, and finished by drawing a question mark in the air.

One of the things that Andrew still commonly forgot about was that other creeple didn't have everything fireproofed. In his room everything from his bed, to the desk to the bathroom was all entirely fireproofed. Everything. The only thing that wasn't fireproofed was any paper produces that came into his room, and often he forgot about that... only to remember a little while later when he accidentally burned his homework. Out of his room he was generally a lot more careful, but he still hadn't gotten the idea that the desks and tables were made out of wood and not coated in flame retardant polish. Still he hadn't burned any furniture down yet.

So for a long moment he gave Blondie an owlish look before he realized she wanted him to move the fire. Which he did.

He watched her mime, explaining and then asking if he was cold. He looked at the mattress, and the blanket and just.... could not believe she wasn't freezing every night. Sure she wasn't a fire demon but Jack... "No, I mean yes, really I'm cold every time I leave my room, Jack every time I leave firelands for that matter, but no, not particularly more cold than normal." Winter was far worst. He honestly was debating picking up and going home for as much time as he could during it. Because snow sucked, that's why. "Besides I generate a certain amount of my own heat." once again he turned up the amount of fire his tail was giving off, clearly attempting to rectify the cold feeling.

"But it looks like you would freeze in here, especially with winter coming. Jack have you even unpacked yet? Seriously. It feels like a hospital in here." He voiced the unpleasant feeling he got walking into her room. his original reason for coming was currently all but forgotten.

Andrew is just going to whine about how cold it is in her room. Forever.

Ruth wasn't sure what to say or do next. Well, she wanted Andrew out of her room, but how exactly was she supposed to accomplish that was unclear. It wasn't as if she could use how she was a ghoul and he was a boil and therefore he mustn't be allowed inside. But with Amityville's much looser code of conduct, that argument was a moot point.

Blondie nodded silently as she listened, looking thoughtful and mulling over the flame demon's words. After a few seconds, she shook her head and marched to her steel closet. Opening the doors slightly gave the boil a small window into the sea of gray within.

The reaper pulled out a sweater, it was drab and plain and clearly something made for function with no concept of form. She held it up proudly to Andrew, tugging at the sweater's sleeves and holding it up against her as if she was showing it off. And in some ways she was because she actually did like the sweater. It reflected her room's decor. Or lack thereof.

This was really the most dreary room he had ever seen, about what he would have expected out of a ghost, not a reaper. but the small peek insider her closet only confirmed the worst, it didn't look like there was a spot of color anywhere in her wardrobe.

The sweater was a bit of a surprise. He squinted at it. What purpose did that serve? She wasn't a flame demon she couldn't produce her own heat. or could she? was he mistaken all along? Did non fireland creature actually have the abilities to produce some small amount of heat? He stepped a bit closer, no he couldn't feel anything. Maybe she just went to a warm place and absorbed the heat for a while and then used the sweater to keep the heat in. It didn't seem like a very useful way to go about it.

Non fireland creeple confused him sometimes, but apparently they didn't need a fire to have warmth over night. "It that supposed to keep you warm? Can you self create heat for that? or do you just go stand int he sun? You don't have any firepowers." was that concern on his voice? No not really.

Ruth nodded vigorously at Andrew's observation, tapping her nose to signify that he got it in one. Folding the sweater over her arm, the reaper proceeded to rub her forearms, pointed to Andrew, and once again drew the question mark in the air. She certainly wasn't bothered by the "cold" but then again she wasn't as sensitive to it as the flame demon.

Blank barked, the clicking of its nails against the floor as the invisible dog approached the flame demon. There was the audible sound of sniffing followed by more barking, which Ruth tried to silence to no avail.

Oh so she rubbed for friction? That seemed less effective than standing under the pumpkin sun. However his minion wanted to do it. he shrugged to himself and then noticed the sounds of the mini at his feet. his wings spread a bit in challenge. Stupid thing, he couldn't see the mini and therefor couldn't effectively fend if off, perhaps at least he could scare it off a bit.

"I still think it needs a bit more decorating. Is everything you own grey?"
