Diamond was fairly new to the pack but he was gaining a reputation as one of the most serious Queen's Knights around. He didn't put up with anyone's nonsense and even harped on those Knight who weren't doing their actual jobs, or slacked off at the end of their shift before the change.
Right now, Diamond was coming off his shift. He was tense, tired, and aching. They didn't have the full twelve needed, so being one of the bigger and newer members, he took a bulk of the extra shifts mainly because he had nothing else to do and because the Heir seemed to need more protection than the Queen. Often time Winterwind was with the Commander, meaning only two guards were waiting for her, and the others were wandering trying to find the Heir. Frost Paw slipped past him more than once and he'd lectured her about it many times already.
Needless to say, he wasn't the young Heir's favorite, which meant she gave him a hard time. With a serious face and a tired walk, the blue dog made his way towards the watering hole nearest his den. Grab a drink, some food, and go pass out. He was off the next few days as the Heir was busy with something or other, and that meant he could regain his energy. It took a lot, okay?

Honey Eyes was out on a walk, simply wandering aimlessly through the pack's lands. The Prophet was up to nothing in particular, as carefree as a breeze through the grass. Golden eyes flicked here and there, watching and absorbing everything around her - A bird scratching at the dirt amid some meerkats, a butterfly floating on the wind, a hawk passing overhead, sending the small striped creatures chirping and running. Nothing was missed by the brown striped and spotted dog.
A different set of spots and stripes caught her eye, two shades of blue with a blanket of black. The bright blue eyes were hard to miss, too. She changed course, walking toward the Queen's Guard. "Hello, Diamond, lovely day, isn't it?" She was ever as sweet as her name suggested, a ray of sunshine in the form of a dog.
