Elam was alone, which was strange for him. When he had lived in his pride he was always surrounded by others, as a cub he had his three mothers, his fathers and countless siblings. Then as an adult he had many banu and even a litter of cubs himself. That had been his home for his whole life but now it was gone. Elam didn't like to think too much about his old home, he was still saddened by thoughts of it. He had been out of the pride when everything happened and by the time he had gotten home it was all gone and he had no idea where his banu had gone or if his children were okay. All he could hope for was that they were still together and that they were all okay. Elam wasn't really sure how to be alone, but he had been managing for a little while.
He had realized how lonely he was getting, he wanted a friend, a companion someone else to talk to. He slowly made his way to a watering hole not too far from where he had slept the night before he figured the water's edge was the best place to run into other lions.
