[GAME] A Warm Welcome?

While Sven rested, another lion was also looking for the cubs with the others. A female lioness named Kiti. She had been in the pride for a while, now, and was very happy there.

Of course she didn't like when bad things happened- she wanted to find the cubs, too, so they weren't hurt in any way. It seemed one cub had already been found, and now they were just looking for the last one. That was good, though it did put more worry on finding the last one.

"I hope we find the cub soon...." she offered, though she imagined the lions around her were all too busy looking still to even notice she had spoken.

It had taken a while for the waterbuck to reach the shore again. He shook his fur in an attempt to stave off the shivers. He was in a different part of the pride now, he guessed. Maybe the cub had gone this way, though he couldn't see any pawprints on the ground.

They could have been blown away by the wind, after all.

"Little child, where are you?" He called again, though his hope for finding the cub was waning dangerously the longer he was out here searching.

The cub didn't come out that meant that Kaveh was wrong he wasn't playing hide and seek with everyone. That caused Kaveh to worry. He wanted it to be that he was playing a game because that would mean the cub wasn't injured or anything. The cub could be in great danger at the moment.

He might have fallen off a cliff or...or. Kaveh wasn't sure what he just knew it must have been something bad. "Cub!" He called out louder then he had been recently. There was a strain in his voice out of worry.

Good heavens that was hard work!

Elsa is very thankful for everyone's efforts to find the cubs!

I will be rolling a participation raffle for those who played in a little bit, and giving away the parents! Though the dad might need to have a twin brother. Uhm.

No sooner had she spoken did a small bundle of fur catch her eye off in the bushes. It was trembling, and seemed too frighten to even make a sound. Moving over to the cub, she discovered the little girl had gotten caught in some brush, making it impossible for her to reveal herself sooner.

She must have been too shy to say anything when everyone was screaming for her, as much as she had wanted to.

Kiti frowned and helped release the cub, who squeaked and ran off to get back over to her worried family.

"Poor thing, Kiti said softly, "but it looks like it's all okay now."

Matunda groaned in an exaggerated fashion every time she had to touch her cold paw to the ground. Stupid cold, stupid snow, stupid lake... While she was grumbling, she spotted a dark lioness that seemed to be retrieving a brown furry shape from the bush. A rabbit? No, it was one of the cubs!

Well, at least one brat was found. As she made her way back to the group, she discovered that the other one had been safely retrieved, too. The leopardess shook her head. Now maybe things would calm down again.

She sighed wistfully and looked in the direction of her den. Maybe it was time for another nap.

Ezen let out a little breath of relief as the cub was found. He picked himself up and headed back to the center of the pride, seeking out Elsa to return to his duty of guard. He apparently wasn't very good at the whole cub seeking thing. Good to know for later, he supposed.  

[Seaki]

It had taken a while for Mzimu to hear that the cub had been found. Relief poured through him. These lands were too cold, however, and he huffed, determined now to make it back to a warmer area. Perhaps he, too, could find a small family or herd to belong to, though he doubted it would happen anytime soon. Mostly, he wanted to be less cold, and that was his goal now, as he made his way out.

Kaveh let out a small sigh of happiness when he heard that the cub had been found. He was slightly disappointed that he hadn't found it. He wouldn't be called a hero. He was more happy that the cub was unharmed. He decided after all the searching he deserved a rest. He slowly made his way to find a place to stay for the night.
