It was an odd sight, West at an aquarium, but there had been a job posting in security here, so this is where he had ended up. It wouldn't be much longer before he and Levi would have to support themselves, and if hauling people away from fish tanks they hadn't paid to see earned him seeds, he would give it a shot, at least for a while.

Having handed in his application as directed (at the second floor information desk with Ingrid Timmons), the demon took a couple of minutes to wander the premises now that his business was complete. Much like those he might soon be hired to discipline, he hadn't paid to get in either, and he responded to every security guard he passed with a brusque nod and a quick departure. Nothing to see here. He just had some pressing business with a fish in the next room.

He hadn't actually come across any guards in a while when he found himself dozing off standing up in front of a large tank full of weird looking eight-legged minipets. Each one sported a crystalline horn and cycled speedily between a palette of neon skin colors that were truly mind-numbing. Maybe West wasn't actually falling asleep. Maybe he was having a seizure.

Quint had paid to get in, got a nice little pamphlet but declined to be guided by a tour guide because he very much doubted he'd get lost in a damned aquarium, thanks but no thanks. The boil sort of of meandered from one tank filled room to another one, reading the nifty little pamphlet that he'd now folded into a mass of squares and also reading the little plaques that were in the rooms.

He felt rather soothed by the quiet sounds of water here and there and despite the little brats running through now and again? Quint felt real ********' happy to be where he was.

The shark boil soon found himself in a room with the eight legged minipets and their amazing color-shifting skin. He was almost drawn in until he noticed the vacant-seeming denizen also in the room. Quint sort of stared a moment before he reached over and nudged the guy's shoulder to try and get his attention, "s**t, hey, you alright?"

Fortunately, the demon was not suffering from any sort of affliction that a simple nudge couldn't cure. He drew in a short, sharp breath in response to the tap, tensing as he tried to come up with an excuse for being there in case it was another guard. When he saw that the one who had disturbed him was only a boil, albeit a boil with very impressive teeth, West scowled and crossed his arms.

"Yeah." He shrugged, his shoulders remaining slightly hunched as if they had forgotten how to settle. "Those stupid fish're... y'wouldn't think t'look at 'em, but they sure know how t'make y'tired." He bent sideways slightly to read the tank's informative plaque, stifling a yawn as he did.

Octoscare
Common to a low-lying area of Halloween
known as Skeleton Moor, these cephalopods
are equipped with a skin pigmentation system
designed to incapacitate large, susceptible
prey for easier feeding.

"Guess I'm... susceptible." He frowned. "I'll jus' be stayin' the hell away from 'em then." He gave the shark another once over, noting his scars and tail. "So, y'just come here fer snacks'r somethin'?" It wasn't inconceivable. If she had been here, Levi would have been climbing into the tanks.

Quint didn't care that the other figure was tensing up. He just knew he did a good deed for the day.

You're very welcome by the way, Sir.

He just sort glanced at the plaque himself, mostly because it kept his gaze from focusing on the octoscares for too long, it was simply better this way. Yes. Much better. "Just don't get in the water with 'em I guess. We might wanna ********' move on though, in case it happens again." Quint had nothing else in mind other than not having to babysit someone that was apparently susceptible to fancy octo-things.

"Nah. They'd get their panties in a huge a** twist if I tried to sample anything. Not worth the bitchin' and moanin'," he drawled as he sort of gave the creatures behind the glass a quick look again and then flipped them off as if to taunt them further.

He was on to these critters

West smirked at the monster's silent taunt as he took the boil's advice and moved on to the next room, away from the captivating octoscares.

He snorted as he jammed his hands into his pockets, stopping and facing Quint once he was well clear of the tank. "So. What's m'savior's name?" Normally he wouldn't have given two shits, but something about this kid intrigued him. It was probably how punchable he looked. It wasn't only that, though. He also looked like he'd punch back.
