Arorangi passed a Finn a slightly curious look before he pulled the spear back again, batting easily at Oliver's tired swing and managing to redirect the axe away from him before it actually hit him. The other was clearly growing more weary, and the shield was stretching thin, like taffy that had been pulled nearly to the point of breaking.
Just another short, sharp hit should get it, Arorangi thought, and he thrust the spear forward, aiming for Oliver's torso, but his footing was off, and he only managed a small blow.

Arorangi dodged the brunt of Oliver's next swing, but caught the edge of the blade on his shoulder, knocking him sideways. He quickly regained his footing, though his movements were slower than they had been, and Arorangi twisted the spear carefully around before swinging it sideways in a wide, well-aimed arc at Oliver's torso.
He felt the shield snap in an almost tangible sort of way; at the very least, the air seemed to ripple strangely to him, and Arorangi desummoned his spear almost immediately, running to Oliver's side.
"Little bird, I am sorry, are you all right?"

Ah, there it was.
While Finn had not been the one to deliver the final blow nor had he been on the receiving end of it, he could still pinpoint the exact moment when Oliver's shield fell, leaving him completely defenseless to the attack that cut through the air towards him. It was a fascinating sight to behold, how once that spear could do nothing more than batter against Oliver, but now how it's blade could puncture and slice across skin, tearing through fabric and flesh and muscle. He could only stand and stare for a brief moment, only snapped out of his silent awe and appreciation of the beauty of it all when the young man collapsed to the ground.
And that was when Finn's brain began to process what had really happened, springing to life, hands flying down to the supplies he had brought, reaching for what he thought would be necessary to patch the kid up. Gauze, bandages, antiseptic, needle and thread, latex gloves, scalpel, scissors, razor, blanket, cloth, everything was packed away in a bag that he snatched up in his hand, tossing it to the ground near Oliver before he sank down beside him, assessing him first quickly with his eyes, before reaching for his hand.
Cold. Blood was welling up from the wound, so hot that Finn could practically feel it, and yet the young mans skin was cold to the touch. Shock, or something more serious? Finn was quick to slip on the gloves, quick to check for a pulse, quick to press down against the bleeding wound in hopes of slowing it down.
And it was as he was lifting Oliver's shirt that he saw it. Dark marks like bruises across his ribs. Internal bleeding. It had to be. Finn had read about this, had shadowed experienced Life's and Moon's in the infirmary, had helped patch up, stitch up, set bones, relocate joints. He had thought he had seen so much, could handle this, but those dark marks brought an icy feeling to his gut.
His weapon. He needed his weapon now. Gauze was pulled out of the bag, his hand lifted, the item placed, held down again. "Hold this, press down here!" Finn called to Arorangi, belatedly remembering that he was there and could be useful.
Whether or not the other man complied, Finn scrambled to his feet and wrenched Trynt back out from the sand.

The weapon was charged, the runes on it flaring to life almost immediately as Finn gave his weapon a silent demand. The shaft of the lance and the blade itself were soon encompassed in a magenta glow, one that was almost too bright to look at.
"Move." Finn commanded, a low growl in his voice as he knelt back down, turning the weapon over with a spin, and using a hand to lower the blade towards Oliver's abdomen, pressing it down.
The weapon flared brighter, and for a brief moment, Oliver was encompassed in that light as well, as Trynt did what he could to heal him, repairing the worst of his injuries, slowing the bleeding to nothing more than a trickle.
The wound was still open, but internally, whatever damage there had been, it had been fixed.
Finn desummoned the weapon once that work was done, pocketing the industrial bar form that it returned to, and reaching up to rub at his face, realizing too late that it was with a bloody, gloved hand.
And than, with one major crises averted, he set to work patching up the much more reasonable to deal with wound that was left behind.

Aro immediately moved to allow Finn room to move, his expression one of intense concern. Oliver was now lying prone on the ground, his face pale, the front of his shirt stained a brilliant red, a red that made Arorangi's stomach twist painfully. He knew that they had done this on purpose, knew that Oliver had been willing and understood what was happening, but still, to see what he had done...
"Yes," said Arorangi immediately taking the gauze and pushing it down at the spot where Finn indicated. "It is all right, little bird," he said to Oliver, even though he wasn't entirely certain that the other could hear him. "You did very well, my friend."
He held the cloth still, and waited until Finn had come back before moving, shifting so that he was out of the way for the other to work. Arorangi watched with an apprehensive expression, his heart beating very fast - but then, the longer he watched, the less tension seemed to be in his shoulders.
He gave a small sigh, exhaling a breath he hadn't realized he'd been holding.
"He will be okay, then?" Arorangi asked Finn, casting a glance at the other.

"Should be." He answered, rather gruffly, finally turning away while peeling off his gloves, flipping them inside out while rolling them together. Turning back to his bag, he pulled out the collapsible, click together stretcher, and set to work unfolding it, setting it on the ground so that it could be used. A recovery blanket was unfolded onto the ground next, and because he wasn't sure if OIiver might have hurt his neck in his collapse, Finn had also set him up in a brace.
"Here, help me move him." He commanded again, placing himself at the top of Oliver's head, and motioning of Aro to go by his feet. Together, they lifted the young man onto the blanket, which Finn quickly wrapped around him, before next nodding when it was time to move him to the stretcher.
"All right, lets get him to the infirmary. We've done all we can do here."
