Ashlyn sighed and closed her eyes as she rested her head on the hospital bed her boyfriend was lying in. It was late and visiting hours would be over soon but Ashlyn always stayed until the last possible second. Her boyfriend had been in a terrible car crash and had been lying in a coma for a week. The doctors kept saying that he would wake up any day now and Ashlyn wanted so badly to believe them. They had gotten into a stupid fight the night of his car crash. It had bee raining terribly and it was teribek weather for driving. She was the one who had told him to leave and because of her his car had collided with another. He should have stayed at her house with her instead of being on the road.She just wanted him to wake up so she could apologize and tell him how much she loved him. She took hold of his hand and squeezed it tightly begging and willing ng him to wake up. Her eyes were red and puffy from all the crying she had been doing this past week and her brown hair was tied up in a messy bun. She looked and felt like complete s**t but she didn't care she just wanted the boy she loved to wake up and be with her.
"Ashlyn we need to get going and you need to sleep." Called her older brother from the doorway. He had come to get her and take her because if he didn't she would never leave the hospital."I still have 10 more minutes." She told him her voice shaking. Her brother just nodded and walked away leaving her alone with her comatose boyfriend. Ashlyn still had his hand in hers and squeezed it as tight as she could like he would blow away and disappear if she didn't have a firm grip on him. "Please wake up." She whispered for what had to be the hundredth time this week.
