The young adult had been travelling outside her lands for only a day and a half, and already she had seen so many things that had never even occurred to her before. It wasn't completely different out here in the rogue lands, but it was different enough that it was certainly broadening her mind and her perspective. It was nice to be away from home on a little break, her first time leaving the lands. She had been so unsure yesterday, and now today, it seemed as though the winds out here had brought her a new confidence and purpose.
Though Atahk wasn't exactly sure really why she was out here, she figured there must be some reason behind the desire. Whatever the universe had planned for her, she would approach it in her poised and graceful manner, as always. It was a little rough being out here on her own, but she was enjoying it nonetheless. The golden-furred lioness hadn't seen any others except from a distance so far, and she was hoping that she might meet someone out here, at least to say she did, if not to go away with a new friend or two.

Atahk wasn't sure at first if it was another lion she was watching from afar as she came toward what seemed to be a bit of water. Well that would be refreshing...she knew where to find everything at home, so it had been a bit rough on her throat and her stomach being out here, where it was not as plentiful, or as easy to come by. She almost felt pity for those who lived in the rogue lands, but she was sure that most of them knew how to make their way much better than she of the Pridelands.
The young female's golden fur helped her blend in with her surroundings a little, the softness of it taking in the sun perfectly. She was comfortable, not too hot. As she drew closer to the other creature she had seen- well, it was the water that interested her, and as of yet Atahk had not had any adverse encounters over necessities, so she had no idea what to expect- she began a more cautious approach. Though as it became apparent that this was another lion, she realized also that he looked well...kind of down. He was not sitting pridefully atop the rock he had chosen, but rather, seemed to be deep in thought, staring into the water.
"Are you alright?" She questioned, her voice clear in the silence of the plains. It was surprising even to herself, as she hadn't spoken to anyone in a full day at least, and the way it rang and cut through the thick, hot air was sort of shocking. She hadn't thought about it much before the words spilled from her muzzle, but she was a kind-hearted girl, and it was hard not to be caring to others since it came so naturally to her. Gracefully she seated herself at a respectful distance and tilted her head at this much larger lion.

The golden lioness giggled a little at his questions. She felt her cheeks grow hot a little at his smile. This was basically the first lion she had met outside her pride, and while Atahk was not well versed in the ways of meeting strangers, and didn't have much of a clue when it came to randomly approaching others she didn't know, he seemed nice enough. No thought crossed her mind that he may not have been so.
"No, no, it's not my territory at all. I'm from the Pridelands..." She said, her voice soft but her words clear and well-pronounced. Her grace fell into everything, and it was a humble grace, of a lioness who didn't think herself so. It was accidental, but it was part of what made her.
"Not a bad way to be lost, I guess." She grinned at him and gave him a flick of her tail. "Could be on your own with no clue where you actually are..." Again, Atahk trailed off. Maybe that was giving away too much information, but she didn't worry too much. The gold furred lioness looked toward the water he had been so listfully staring into. If he was asking if it was her territory, she supposed it wasn't his, and as such figured he wouldn't mind if she helped herself. It was thirsty work wandering out here.
Atahk took a few steps closer to the water, watching him out of the corner of her eye. She bent and took a quick drink, happy for the cool feeling of water on her tongue. She seated herself beside the water and looked back to the other lion.
"Are you not from here, either?" She asked, tilting her head gracefully and shifting her weight a little.
